There's a Valentine's Day contest over at , so I thought I'd take that opportunity to finally draw Simba and Nala. The Lion King is a fantastic movie, so it was about time I drew something for it. Just something really simple, but I had a lot of fun drawing some lion profiles in a relaxed sort of pose~ I love those big cats' profiles. So darn dramatic and majestic! Also it was nice to take a break from school and work and such.

The coloring really brings out the mood. The colors and their poses/expressions really makes it look like there's a story.

Colors are just like everything else; practice, try new things, and observe the masters' work. If something isn't working for you, try something different until you achieve the effect you were looking for.
