The sixteenth in a series of comics I'm writing. I've learned a lot of things from my year on dA: various memes, styles and terminologies.This week, shota... This is, yet another, Japanese term I have just recently found the meaning of. Now, I can't even begin to express how I felt when I checked that definition. I mean, that can't be legal, can it? I'm fully aware than the age of consent in Japan is thirteen (which I have reservations about) but come on, that's just weird. It rather pertains to the principle of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should." As always, I simply don't see the appeal, but I know that certain people on this site do. And, quite frankly, they can keep it to themselves

Well, age isn't the crucial factor as far as shota is concerned; it's just basic preference. Most westerners already believe due to social and political conditioning that anything of this nature to do with children is totally wrong. The same can't be said for the Japanese
