The fourth of a series of comics I'm writing. I've learned a lot of things from my year on dA: various memes, styles and terminologies.This week is a special celebratory issue, as I finally reached my landmark 100 faves! Which is the highest number of faves I've had on any deviation. So that's why it's called "Anything is possible"... as well as there being a nuclear explosion in a Scottish suburb

Have you ever had someone favorite something in the first two minutes it's on deviantArt? Usually from some guy who's desperate for page views and favorites anything in the "most recent" section.

Er...generally speaking I get a few hits in the first couple of minutes, a substantial increase over the next hour or so and then a gradual decrease throughout the week. Why do you ask?

I don't get that many views/favorites on my comics so when I get a favorite in the first minute it's online, I know something's wrong. Nobody can read that entire comic that fast. So when I go check out their page and I see every comment is "Thanx for teh fav!", the fave means nothing to me anymore.

No? You just need to try to get your work out there. Look for a niche group - that is to say, a group that is composed (more or less) entirely of the sort of thing you draw.
Either that or spam groups, like me

i put up an artwork i didnt really like but its been getting alot more favs than i thought... all i think is WHATS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??!! but obviously its not half bad... but to get over 50 favs on something id be like this..let alone 100... bit of a noob i am

If you really wanted to get more faves, my advice would be to:
A) Draw something that you know appeals to a large number of people's interests.
B) Submit your artwork to a whole host of groups.
C) Combine both of the above.
By writing about what I've learned on dA, I automatically appeal to certain groups of people. For example, my first comic was about Yaoi, and about 75% of people who favourited it were Yaoi fans/artists themselves
And you're not a noob, you just need to get yourself out there
