I also bit the bullet on Enchantix (because I don’t really think Rainbow would dare to redesign Enchantix themselves even if it would be good, never cared much for “everyone but Tecna’s a flower fairy now: the form”, so). Y’know what this means? I’M DONE. I’M DONE WITH REDESIGNING THE MAGICAL FORMS FOR THE WINX. THEY’RE ALL DONE IT’S A MARCH MIRACLE
The Trix and the three magical guys’ Enchantix forms will come soon! For now, onto the details:
Enchantix is automatically earned at 21, but you can earn it earlier than that by performing a self-sacrificial act of love and care for someone very close to you. Said sacrifice also has to be somewhat notorious. Enchantix unlocks direct use of Essence Dust, a powder-like substance that is actually concentrated ambient magic, allowing for bigger spells without relying on power-amplifying artifacts and for easier use of dangerous spells, like size-changing and healing. The dust is contained in a little ornate flask worn around the neck, as well as coating the wings.
For the designs, rather than making something new I wanted to make it as an upgrade to Charmix, to link them better as the basic fairy forms. Even the wing shape is the same as Charmix. Overall, I’m happy with how they turned out - they’re more detailed than Charmix but not a full-blown new outfit like later powers - what Enchantix should have been from the start, at least for me.
