Description Gift manip for SempraSeverus based on her pick out of 50 or so photos. She liked this one. Basic light adjustments and extraction. Very subtle use of Luce illumination tool, and diffuse dark borders.

Photo by Geminicorps and her awesome camera. Picture taken at HWW event for HP exhibition in Chicago.

Severus Snape belongs to JK Rowling. I make no money from this.

Very good costume. Even if it's weird to see Snape with a beard and mustache.

Next time, try it without

It's actually stubble, not a full beard or mustache. I have tried it with out the whiskers. The illusion shatters at 10 feet and thus it fails for live cosplay. I do make up for closer interaction, if this was for theater I could eliminate the facial hair. Marie Grandpre illustrated the Hp books with a bald! snape with a goatee. I attempt to make him more real, as an older man will have at a minimum a 5 o'clock shadow.

I wish I could do this makeup w/o the stubble. When I have the appliances on, the border creases are very apparent for the chin. The noses seem to fit better, but they are also show creases on inspection.

I have thought about using a full face appliance. If I did that, no stubble is required as the crease from the prosthetic is on the hair line and jaw edge and not in the middle of my face on a moving area like my chin. But I have yet to find a full face prosthetic that would work for Snape. -sigh- I try. Believe me I try.

Oddly, I don't really like this costume for Snape. But it's what I had to get in a hurry. Snape wore robes in the books. this is just "movie emulation". But I will have some robes, as they are on the dress form waiting completion.

Well, it's the longest answer I've been reading so far ! Thank you, I trained in translation, thanks to you xD

In fact, looking at other photos, I realize my mistake with the beard and mustache lol But otherwise, you do a very credible Rogue, and I like keeping the film personally, I find it quite appropriate to the character.

But if after you think you use something else, I look forward to seeing it. Wholesale, and even if I did not respond as long as yours, I encourage you greatly to continue ! And viva Harry and Severus ! ^.^

lol Say I'm doing, but I still have quite a gap. And say I want to spend a week in England, it promises to be complicated. ^.^

But thank you !
