Amazing job. How long did this take?

About 30 seconds. It is just a generated image. Of course developing the app to generate that took weeks.

Is this like an iphone app or just something you have? Its really cool. I like to use the Lego Digital Designer to make lego murals, but I usually can't find good references, and some of my current projects take weeks. I really am impressed.

It is a Bash script on Linux. It calls netpbm fucntions to do the real image work. The best part is that it does it automatically. This kind of image (and other types) are automatically generated for my wallpaper. If I like what it makes, I post it here on DA.

No problem. I grew up loving LEGOs and got into the Technic sets, so my love for it will always be there. How long did the render take and what program did you use?

It about 10 seconds to render. I wrote my own program... it is just a Bash shell script. It is based on the idea from this page: [link] Besides for making it a script, I also changed it to start with a pixelated image (like a game sprite) instead of pixelating a normal image. The hard part is computing the size of the pixel needed to scale the sprite to full be a full page.

Ok, 7 VS 27.... see [link] as an example. What I was saying was that your choices of what sprites to use seem to be more popular than mine.

I don't go for the generic standing sprite if I can help it, I prefer an action sprite =]

Sometimes, this time it was just the best looking sprite.

I'll find some old school images to make wallpapers out of
