Forays into the hive have yealded almost complete specimens of the creature, now codenamed queen. The creature seems to be an off shoot of the Tervigon strain, but there are sevral diffrences from the main strain.
Firstly the Queen genus Tervigon does not appear to incubate its young within its own body like all other observed members of the Tervigon genus, instead it ejects its larvea when a critical mass has been reached. The larvea then creates a cocoon around themselves, inside of which the larvea develop into the desired strain of tyranid.
We will sontinue to observe the hive.
