I am beyond pleased with how this one came out -- this is the Threshold, the titular ship from our biweekly RPG sessions, warping out via a newly designed holographic stargate. Why holographic, you ask? Because it allows them to generate a stargate anywhere they happen to be and enter a variety of gate networks, including the transwarp conduits and hyperspace, and the stargate vanishes once the ship goes through, leaving nothing behind to be exploited later. Not only that, but the gate is potentially unlimited in size so long as the ship can generate the appropriate holographic field.
