So I recently posted a picture of a couple of CG clouds and few people sent me notes asking how it was done...

Q&A
Q: How many layers do I need to create?
A: This was all done on one layer!

Q: What colours did you use to do the actual cloud?
A: White. Only white.

Q: Did you use a graphics tablet?
A: No I used my laptops mouse, but I'm sure it would work using both.

what brush that you used to make the clouds?

I used the "brush" tool first and then the "water" tool, to blend it.

If you want to know what setting they were on, then please consult the first image on the tutorial. Everything's stated.
(Plus I'm not very good at explaining brush settings though text).

I must say, knowing me I might put the sky on a different layer :3 because, I'm just like that and to avoid my awful suns, i put the in the clouds

That's fine.

I usually do everything in different layers too, but I can't get the clouds to work very well on separate layers. I can only get the colour build up thing, (can't think of a better name) to work when the clouds are on the same layer as the sky. Then again that might be because I was using a mouse rather than a pressure-control tablet...
