Description

My popular Daisy now with free pattern so you can make your own!

Materials:

Worsted weight yarn in pink, yellow, and white (I used Red Heart Supersaver)
G hook (for a big, cuddly Daisy)
Needle for sewing details.

Special stitches:

I used French Knots for the eyes, if you don’t know
how to do a french knot there are videos on
Youtube, or make three felt dots or use fabric paint.

Head:

Start with yellow

Rd 1: 6sc in magic ring
Rd 2: inc around (12)
Rd 3: sc, inc around (18)
Rd 4: sc, sc, inc around (24)
Rd 5: sc x 3, inc around (30)
Rd 6: sc x 4, inc around (36)
Rd 7: sc around (36)

*change to dark pink*

Rd 8: sc x 5, inc around (42)
Rd 9: sc x 6, inc around (48)
Rd 10-16: sc around (48)
Rd 17: sc in first 20 stitches, inc x 8,
sc in remaining 20 stitches (56)
Rd 18: sc around (56)
Rd 19: sc x 13, inc around (60)
Rd 20-23: sc around
Rd 24: sc x 13, dec around (56)
Rd 25: sc around (56)
Rd 26: sc x 6, dec around (48)

*Start stuffing head*

Rd 27: sc x 6, dec around (42)
Rd 28: sc x 5, dec around (36)
Rd 29: sc x 4, dec around (30)
Rd 30: sc x 3, dec around (24)
*finish stuffing*

Rd 31: sc x 2, dec around (18)
Rd 32: sc, dec around (12)
Rd 33: dec around (6)
Sew hole closed neatly and finish off.

Ears (make 2):

With pink

6sc in magic ring
Rd 2: inc around (12)
Rd 3: sc, inc around (18)
Rd 4-10: sc around (18)
Rd 11: sc, dec around (12)
Rd 12-15: sc around (12)

Stuff lightly, fold end in half and sc six stitches across to close.

Eyes (make 2):

White:
6 sc in magic ring, join, ch 1
inc around, join, ch 1
sc, inc around, join (18)

Black:
8 hdc in magic ring, join and finish off. Sew to white parts, and use the starting strand from the white to make three french knots for the eye sparkles.
