Description
I looked for the most recognizable games I could find from each country. There really isn't any official "list of top selling games and each country they come from", but thankfully for mostly every european country wikipedia has a section listing games that were developed. So I looked through every countries list and picked the stuff that popped out the most. For context, in the 2000s I mostly played gamecube and wii games, and in the 2010s I mostly played shooters, rpgs, and league of legends. So popular older games and strategy games I am less attuned to. Hungary and Slovakia had a big list of games, but I really didn't recognize anything. The games that did have wikipedia links I scrolled through to find games that had good reviews or long wikipedia pages, but it wasn't easy. They kind of got the bad of the stick here, and on reddit people were the most disappointed in that. Although I have to say I had a massive laughing fit where I was crying just cuz the slovaks were so sad there only game was a minecraft clone. I want to make a version 2.0 using all the information I gathered from the reddit comments.
