I'm very curious, because I've wanted a photo like this for a long time. Do you use any special lighting to get the light through the snail/yew seed?
If so, what do you do?
If not, any advice on doing something similar?

No, not really. I think I was just kinda lucky, I didn't "plan" lighting in this scene. I took the seed with snail on it and put to the table in a kitchen - sun was at proper position and that's it. Both yew seed and snail were quite transparent so it was easy to get such effect.
Tha nks for few nice words, I'm glad you liked my photo

This is astonishing.
i'm amazed, really, it's quite a fairytale, where snails live in little flowers and seed.
the light is perfect too.
