Here's Caly with her shiny Oshawott! She belonged to Cal's older brother, Thiago, as his first starter pokemon. When the siblings were forced to join Team Plasma under rule of their mother, Thiago became brainwashed by Plasma's ideals and believed his Pokemon were better off in the wild, so he released Oshy, much to the terror of a young Calypso.

Oshy was lost in the Unova forests, prey to any wild Pokemon in the area -- but she was lucky, picked up by a Pokemon Breeder who decided to take in the Oshawott, knowing it must have belonged to someone who very much missed it.

However, Oshy suffered abuse at the hands of Team Plasma, and gained developmental issues as time went on, becoming incapable of evolving or maturing in any way.

When Calypso escaped from Plasma (age 11) she searched far and wide, hoping to find the Oshawott her brother had released. She heard rumor of a nearby Pokemon breeder owning a rare shiny pokemon, and discovered the small cottage in the forest where several Pokemon were being cared for. There, the weathered and weary girl found her Oshawott!

Full knowing the struggles to come with raising a developmentally delayed pokemon, she took her home, where they'd eventually move to the Alola region to escape persecution from Plasma.

Today, Oshy is still very happy and go-lucky; she loves the rain, splashing in puddles, and bubble baths. However, occasionally Oshy gets night tremors about her past, but Calypso is always there to help her work through it. She can be a bit slow and less serious when need be, but Oshy is beloved by Cal's team and of course, herself.

Should anyone dare to cause harm to the precious, purple-nosed Oshawott...well, they would be feeling the wrath of more than a few.
