Pipes Girl (Frenia) and Phone Boy (Sean).

They met in the hospital.

Phone Boy asks her, on a scale of one to ten, how mean am I? She rates zero, and he is pleased.

But then he asks her "on a scale of one to ten, how nice am I?" and she again rates zero.

She says it is because she doesn't know him and can't judge. He tells her to just rate it a 5 then, but she refuses because then she would have to rate him a 5 on being mean too.

They have a group activity where they're supposed to write a letter to someone they know about how they make them feel, so he writes one to Frenia that says something like "I feel angry because she said I wasn't nice." He shows it to her, then rips it up and throws it away.

Frenia writes nothing.

Phone Boy assumes she might be hallucinating and asks her what she sees, but she can only answer things like "a wall" or "a piece of paper." Phone boy writes to her that They are trying to verify his phone number. She writes a note back to him saying, "wake up."
