So, this is a meme on what inspired my OC, Nancy Bombs! Memes are fun.

1. Grabbed by the Ghoulies - Without this, Nancy wouldn't even be around. I thought that GBTG was able to pull off such a fun game with such a simple story, that I should be able to make something similar as well! I came up with Nancy right after, though she's definitely changed since she was first created.

2. Malice - Now this one is a weird case, since I use it as inspiration on what NOT to do with Nancy. I personally think Malice is such a lifeless character. She has no personality or any reason to really care about her. I try to keep those qualities in mind when working on Nancy. Sucks, since she actually has a cool design.

3. Jeera from Tak - Jeera is kind of the same character I wanted with Nancy, a free spirit, kind of tomboyish, kind of a trouble maker. Though Nancy's older than Jeera, she's just about as immature.

4. The Mighty B - HUGE influence, I love how cartoony and (for lack of a better word) WACKY it looks. Love the crazy facial expressions and the lively art of the Mighty B is definitely an inspiration for how I'd want Nancy to look.

5. Guybrush Threepwood from Monkey Island - Guybrush is the type of hero I love. Bumbling, imperfect, just a lot of fun to watch. That's exactly how I want Nancy to be, kind of the butt of jokes a lot of the time. Though I think Nancy's more confident than Guybrush (not that Guybrush isn't cool!), but that usually just results in MORE slapstick-related outcomes for Nancy.

6. Banjo Kazooie - Possibly my biggest inspiration of all, though this one kind of ties into the series and world rather than Nancy herself. I love the locations and new characters of the Banjo games, I love traveling to each new world and meeting new (and returning) characters in each one. This is definitely what I want Nancy to be about, traveling to new lands (and returning to some of her favorite ones) and meeting up with characters in each location. Also, I love how the Banjo series never takes itself too seriously. It's all just silly fun.

7. Adventure Time with Finn and Jake - Pretty much the same reasons as Banjo above. I love how diverse the world is and love seeing new places and I just love all the fun characters. Nancy was created before Adventure Time came out, but I associate Nancy's bravery and heroic tendencies with Finn.
