DAWWWW Theta is adorable. He is one of my favorite AI. I would think that he was Alpha's childishness (inner child is the same thing I guess), but Empathy makes sense.

it is written in the wiki that its possible that Theta is the "Inner Child" fragment of the Alpha A.I. due to his shy and timid behavior infront of the other Freelancers, yet shows the eagerness and desire to please, as most children would display infront of an older sibling. Theta also has the voice of a child.
