Katy is a young waitress at the TF Cafe and has been friends for years with Zaia and her family. She is bubbly, forgetful, somewhat clumsy but always cheerful and hopeful. She is mildly agoraphobic and shy when out on the town, preferring to remain in her element in the cafe. Despite her occasionally clumsiness, Katy is an adept ballerina and hopes to one day have enough courage to dance on stage in front of a crowd. She entertains the idea of dancing Swan Lake ("The most famous ballet." in her words) but is apprehensive because "It's a real downer."
