BOOK 1 THE SHADOW LANDS It was a normal Autumm day in a the small town of Shorewood hills. It was a little warmer than most days, but I didn't mind as it was 9 am and I was on my way to Shorewood high. It was the high school and classes started in 10 minutes and I was about 5 minutes away. I got there in time. The high school was two floors. The building had grey paint that was chipping off and some of the windows had cracks in them. The fence that was meant to be around the woods, was falling down. the building was only about 50 years old but it was not in the best condtion. The original building burnt down 52 years ago. No one knew what caused it. People say they heard laughing that sounded human, but wasn't fully human. They say they saw shadows that could move, that looked human, but were pure black mist. It happend on prom night. People say they heard screaming coming from a classroom, but they couldn't reach them as the hallway was on fire. A girl dissapeared that night . She was an 18 year old girl and her name was Aurora. The fire burnt the school down to the ground so they build the new one on the old schools basment, so the legend says. But anyways there wasa Jake and Alice. They were waiting by the bike racks for me. Jake is 18 with black hair and brown eyes. He was in a tshirt that said ''stop monkeying around'' with black runners and a pair of jeans. Alice was in a royal blue chiffon blouse with a blue skirt and a nice pair of white flats. She had long thick wavy blond hair with ocean blue eyes, long nails that had light blue nail polish on them . She was 17 and I was 18 with blonde hair and blue eyes. I was wearing my favorite tshirt that said ''may the force be with with you''. I was a huge Star Wars fan, actually we all were. We had been planing a Star Wars movie marathon for the weekend. I was also in blue shorts with black runners . When I got to the bike racks Alice said "There you are, class is about to start we cant be late."I told her "Yeah I know but I lost track of time playing World of Warcraft" Jake said "cool, did you win? " I said ''of course!'' and Alice rolled her eyes and said "Of course you did! let's go we got sciences and Jake has gym" she grabbed my arm and began to drag me. We got to science and the bell just went. Class was boring as always. We watched a video about how different types of viruses have different dna models. Before class was over, the teacher said we had to choose a partner and build a dna model and make a power point presentation. Me and Alice chose to be partners cause it was easy as she lived just a few blocks away . I hoped it wouldnt be too hard as lately Alice had been acting weird a little bit around me. Oh well, the bell rung and I was off to gym where alice had a free period. By the time school was done I was ready to hang out with my friends. I waited for ten minutes and then Alice and Jake met me at the bike racks and we were heading to Jakes house to watch movies and hang out like we always did on a Wednesday. After 30 minutes of walking we got to Jakes house. It was a 2 story brick house with a dark oak wood door and a small balcony with a small round table with two chairs. They had just painted the bricks on the house a nice white. The front yard had a garden with a bunch of diffent flowers, while the back yard had a tall cheery blossom tree. We went inside and there was a nice light wooden stair case which lead down to the basement or the top floor. We got down to the basement and went down the hall to Jakes room which was a decent size room. It had a nice flat screen tv, an xbox one, two white book selfs with different books and dvds on them. He had a nice maple wood dresser and his bed was a wooden bed painted a soft white. And there right next to the tv, was his new couch, which was gray. We sat down and started wacthing the first star wars movie and when I looked at my phone next, it was 6:30 pm and I would be late for dinner. Mom would kill me if I was late. So I said goodbye and left. I knew I would not make it to my house before dinner if I took the normal way so I took a short cut through the woods. It was dark, but the light of the full moon was shining through some of the branches lighting the way. I began walking and after ten minutes of walking I stopped walking. I felt like I was being watched and suddenly out of nowhere a cold wind that cuts you right to the bone was going. Then I heard laughing all around me. It sounded like they all let out an ear piercing howl and began to come toward me. I ran as fast as I could and 7 minutes later I was out of the woods. I looked back and saw they had stopped at the edge of the woods and then they let out a loud screech and disappeared into the ground. Ten minutes later I was home. I had dinner and went to my room and turned my computer on and began looking up the monsters, but nothing turned up. I wanted to look up Aurora, but without a last name it was hard to find anything. So I went to bed and suddenly I was in a strange land. It was dark and there was no light. There were these big walls that looked like they were made of mist and I saw more of those things from earlier. I was scared and confused, but then I saw her, Aurora, and she came to me and said "Do not worry, they can't see you or hurt you. I asked "where am I?". She had a look like she wasn't sure weather she should say or not, but after a number of seconds pause,she said "you're in the shadow lands. It's were all the darkest things live. I didn't get to fully warn you earlier, and for that I am sorry. I can only leave this world for a short time before I have to return to it ". I asked her why she had to return here though. "Because I was taken here a long time ago and Im trapped here until the wall between the worlds collapses but I dont have much time. Soon the shadows will come to your world fully as they have time and time again. They will come for your friend Alice and now you." " Why me? " I asked. She responded "It is because you can see the shadows. No one has ever been able to see the shadows as clear as you have. So the Shadow King sees you as a danger and a threat to his plan to counquer your world. He will soon need a new queen and he wants your friend Alice. And when the wall between the worlds is weakest , he will turn her into a shadow queen and use her to try and conquer your world. Then I will become like the queens before me. A siren still retaining some of my human body, but I will become a dark creature designed to lure humans to the shadow world to become shadows." " Wait, you mean those creatures were human?" I asked. "Yes, but unfortunately our time is at a end. Try to remember what I told you. I will find a way to see you in your world again. Good bye Dylan. Now go before the shadows come for you." As she gave me a push I stumbled back and woke up in my room. It was 6 am and I tried to write as much down as I could, but it quickly faded and I couldn't rember much anymore. I began to wonder if it was all a dream, but something inside me knew it wasn't a dream. It was real. So I spent the next hour trying to remeber what Aurora had told me. When I looked at the time it was 7:30 am so I went for a quick shower and got ready for school. I put on a pair of dark blue jeans and a long sleeve shirt that had a picture of Ian Malcolm saying ''life will find a way.'' I put on a red sweater and put my black runners on and went downstairs. There was a note saying "Me and your dad had to go on a busines trip and will be back in two weeks. Sent you 250 dollars. Enjoy. love, Mom and Dad" I grabbed the note, crumpled it up and tossed in the bin. It wasn't anything new. I was used to it. They were always traveling for busines. So I made some waffles, grabbed a glass and opend the fridge and grabbed the orange juice and poured me a glass. Cleaned up and it was 8:10 am. I grabbed my bag and ran out the door. I was on my way to school. I got there at at 8:15 am and I sat down on a bench and suddenly my head started to hurt and all the light was gone. There was only darkness and I saw vines wrapped around the school, windows shattererd and pieces missing from them. And walls had been blown in. Outside, the trees and grass were dead and the bark looked scorched. In fact the more I looked around the more I saw destruction everywhere. Houses caved in, cars on fire, and bones of what I think were humans. A dark haze was everywhere and the air smelled of smoke and of rotten corpses. I saw those shadow creatures and what I thought was a girl, but when it got closer I could tell it was not a full human as she had claws and was made of some kind of mist. I realized she could see me. She came right at me and I couldn't move. She looked at me like she was sad about something then she kissed me. Aurora showed up and said ''leave''. She left then Aurora looked at me horrified and said ''I dont know how you got here, but this is what will happen to your world should the shadows win. And now you must be more careful as you have been shadow kissed. Now you are in more danger then ever . Now get out of hear. She pushed me and I woke up. And there was Alice standing over me. The look on her face said she was concerned. ''Where were you?'' she asked. I just looked around for a moment trying to figure out what just happened and give my eyes a moment to adjust to the light. Then after about a minute I looked back at her and she now looked even more confused. ''Well?'' she asked. I said ''What do you mean?'' " Well I've been trying to get your attention for 5 minutes.'' she said. ''Sorry'' I responded. Just then the first bell rang. " Remember, wait for me here after school. We are working on our project at your place. And when we get there, you're gonna tell me what's been going on with you, as its not like you to zone out like that.'' The rest of the school day went by and I tried to focus. But everything felt like a haze and I wondered if it had anything to do with the shadow kiss i got this morning. I would figure it out later I thought, as I tried to concentrate on the class. The bell rang and the day was almost done. I was in my last class which was gym. Today's game was dodge ball. Meanwhile Aurora was walking in the shadow lands and she was scared, as Dylan had been shadow kissed. That meant time was runing out to try and prevent history from repeating itself. And now the Shadow King would try and turn dylan instead of killing him. She was just walking around when she saw a tear bewteen worlds and she figured she had to try and get out of here and help Dylan. And hopefully destroy the Shadow King. She knew time was running out to try, as the storm was growing more powerful by the day. She knew if she did this, the tear would close and this would be it. So she used some of her magic to make the tear a bit bigger. She had to fight it as no one was meant to get out. But after 3 minutes, she was in the real world. She saw the tear close and she knew she was in Shorewood but it looked different then it did when she lived here. But she didn't have time to worry about that. She used her magic to see where Dylan was, and it showed the school. So she began walking there and she kept geting weird looks from people. She didn't understand why and she wondered why every one were in such weird clothes. She got to the building were her magic said Dylan would be and then she looked around, but didn't see any one. While Aurora was waiting outside the school, I was thinking, man I cant wait for class to be over as there was 5 minutes left till the bell rang. So I grabbed my bag put it on and waited for the bell to ring. Then 3 minutes later the bell rang and all the kids started coming out of the school. She looked around for a few minutes to see if she could spot me. I headed to the bike racks to wait for Alice as she was coming over to my house today to work on the project for science. and then after 2 minutes Alice showed up and we were talking about the project and I said ''Want to order a pizza and watch a movie after? My parents are out of town for the next few weeks.'' She said ''Sure''. Suddenly a girl in a dress walked over and she said ''Dylan, I'm so glad I found you. We have to talk.'' Both Dylan and Alice were confused. And then when Alice said ''Dylan, who is she?'' he said ''I dont know''. Then he looked at Aurora and said ''Do I know you?'' '' Yes, it's me Aurora.'' ''Aurora how did you get out? better yet what are you doing here?'' She said ''Is there someplace safer we can talk?'' ''Um yeah we can go to my house.'' She said ''okay lets go'' As we were walking Alice said ''Hold on. Will someone please tell me what's going on here?'' and I said ''When we get to my house I will tell you everything I promise.'' So after 10 minutes of awkward minutes of silence we got to my house. It was two stories tall, the walls were lined with wooden panels which were a nice shade of brown with a patio that had some chairs on it. There was a nice set of brick stairs leading up to the newly painted white door I opened the door, it took a few minutes for Aurora to get in and sit down. Alice then said ''Okay were here, now start talking Dylan. And you'd better hope its good or else.'' So I told her everything that had been happening and about Aurora. ''Okay normally I would say you fucking lost it, but kind of hard not to believe you with Aurora sitting right there.'' We both looked at Aurora who was shocked with what she just heard and she looked at Alice and said ''Why do you talk like that?'' Alice was confused and I figured it out. ''Oh yeah, thats normal now Aurora. I'm sure you will find a lot has changed since you have been in the real world.'' She said I'm sure I will but anyways, as I said earlier we are running out of time. The wall grows weaker every day and I found a tear in the wall and came through. It closed behind me, but now that I got out, he will try harder now more then ever. We have to be careful ok? I came to help you out what ever way I can. Now we have to hope I will have enough power to stop the shadows and close any tears.'' No one spoke for a few minutes, but I broke the silence and said ''Well if you are here to stay Aurora, then you will need to blend in. Cause that dress will make you stand out. As you can tell by me and Alice, that those clothes aren't normal any more. If you are gonna stay in this world, then we're gonna have to get you some new clothes so you look normal and blend in.'' And with this Alice suddenly spoke up and said ''I can help her with that!" I was nervous, as she had that twinkle in her eye that meant she had something planned. ''Aurora can stay with me tonight. My parents are out of town for the next week as they are on vacation. So tomorrow we can come over and we can spend the week here.'' I was unsure, but she said ''You have a guest room and then we can figure stuff out.'' I looked at Aurora and asked ''Is that okay with you?'' She thought for a moment and said ''Sure''. Alice then said ''Great! Let's go! We're gonna have fun tonight! I've never got to help create a whole new person. And when I'm done you will look like a whole new person. And you will have never felt so free and happy before. I promise you that!'' And after ten minutes Alice and Aurora were leaving and Alice said ''See you tomorrow at 10 am okay?'' I said okay and closed the door. I wasnt sure weather I should be scared or relieved that Alice was helping Aurora out. It was 4 pm and I was geting hungry, so I ordered a cheese pizza to be delivered for 5 pm. I went to the game room which was a big open room with wooden floor, and had a gaming computer, a ps 4 and an xbox 1. I also had an oculus rift vr headset. I turned on the tv and the xbox and I decided to play some halo 5. I found myself wondering what Alice and Aurora were up to. ''Well here we are Aurora. This is my place.'' Aurora looked at the house. It was two story house with a big wrap around patio and it had a beautiful flower garden. The house had nice light blue wooden panels and and a small staircase leading to the a nice maple wooden door with a white metal railing to hold onto. They got in the house and Aurora was speechless. When she looked around there was this nice honey oak staircase leading up to the second floor. And then down a hall was a second one leading down stairs and above a crystal chandelier. ''Come on Aurora, my rooms down the hall on the left.'' they entered Alices room. It had a queen bed with a pink blanket and 4 fluffy pillows with white pillow cases and the was a nice light white accent pillow. She had an add on bathroom, which had a shower on one end, then on the other side it had a nice deep soaker tub. Her closet was the size of a small room with lots of different styles and types of clothes hanging in the closet. On both sides of the bed, she had two white shelves filled with different shoes. She had welton vanity set which was a dark white and on it there were 3 makeup bags and two shelves with different colours and brands of nail polish. In the closet on the floor, were more boxes of shoes and a huge mirror on the wall. ''Now first things first Aurora, you need to get out of that dress. You can put this on.'' She handed Aurora a white robe and then said ''After you put it on the work can begin. And when we're finished, you will feel like a whole new you!'' They started out simple with a light pink top with lace sleeves and light pair of jeans. Aurora looked in the huge mirror on the wall and was happy. But she didn't want to stop there and she said to Alice ''Don't be afraid to give me clothes to try on. I never had this stuff when I was alive so I want to try as much as I can ok?'' Then Alice said really loud like thats what she was waiting for, ''Okay then, let the fun begin!'' and with that she gave Aurora a white tube top with some lace on the top with white lace sleeves and a light blue two lair skrit with a nice dark blue high heel. Once again Aurora went to the mirror and smiled. ''I like it.'' she said. ''Good! but we're not finished yet.'' And with that she took the clothes off. Alice asked ''So, nothings of limts right?'' Aurora had to really think about it for a few minutes before sighing and saying ''Yes okay.'' ''Good! Then now it's time to really start experimenting with outfits.'' and gave her a pink crop top with some small holes going down the middle of the shirt ,some necklaces and a pair of jean shorts and tried some blue and white sneakers with it. Aurora looked in the mirror and said ''Im not sure about this outfit.'' ''That's okay.'' Next she tried on a black spaghetti strap crop top with a nice simple cyan skirt with a gold and cyan bracelet with golden x's and cyan triangles pointing into the center of the x's with a cyan gem in the middle and cyan rose earings and black high heel booties with an open heel,and a black leather clutch and some black glasses she could choose to wear with the outfit if she wanted to. they went to the mirror were Aurora squealed and said ''I love this outfit! Thank you Alice!'' Alice then said ''Okay we got the first one and this one down, lets try to find a few more okay?'' Aurora was so happy and excited that she said ''Okay! This is fun and your right, I do feel like a whole new me!'' She took the clothes off and put it with the first outfit she tried on that she liked. Next, she put on a black crop top and a red and black patterned skirt and black shoes with red shoe laces they went to the mirror and yet again she loved this outfit too. ''Okay! Let's find one more okay? Then I got a special piece of clothing I want you to try.'' With that, the clothes were in the pile with the other two outfits. Alice grabbed a long sleeve grey and white striped shirt, a light pink skirt with a small pink bow in the middle, a pair of nice black flats and a gold bracelt. Aurora went to the mirror and was really happy with this outfit. ''Okay'' Alice said. ''I'm gonna grab the special piece.'' Aurora took the outfit off and carefully put it in the pile with the others. Alice went into the closet and two minutes later came out with a short black drees and black lace stockings and a shiny pair of black high heels. Aurora was skeptical, but Alice said ''Just try it on. You might like it.'' So she did and she went to the mirror and walked a small circle to see the drees and she liked it. And with that, she had her outfits chosen. Two hours later they were done. ''I wonder what Dylan will think.'' Auroa said. Alice replied ''Well we will know tomorrow won't we?'' ''Yeah, I hope he likes them. Hey Alice?'' ''Yes Aurora?'' ''What do you think Dylan is doing right now?'' ''No clue'' Alice said. (Meanwhile back at Dylan's house) ''Ding dong'' The door bell rang. I walked to the door and it was my pizza that I had ordered. I payed for it and went back down to the game room which was a huge open room. It had a huge leather couch and I had all the same systems as Jake. I sat down and tried to call Alice but no answer. Oh well, I turned the tv on and hit resume on my movie. Which happened to be my favourite movie which was Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith . After the last of the movie was done, I got a call. It was Jak. He was calling to make sure we were still on for Sunday's event. ''Hell yeah! I said. ''Still same time? Yep, okay talk to you soon. After I was done eating I went to the VR headset, turned it on and began playing my VR star wars game. Next time I looked at the clock it was 10:30 at night. I had played for about 2 hours. So I turned it off, went for a quick shower and went to bed. When I woke up it was 9:30 am. I got up and went down the hall to my music room which had a drum set, an electric guitar, a regular guitar and a small recording studio which I used sometimes. I started playing the drums and got so carried away I didn't realize the time. It was 10 am and I heard the doorbell. It must have been Alice and Aurora. I went upstairs and opened the door. I was speechless when I saw them. Mainly Aurora. She was standing there in a black crop top, red and black skirt with some sort of pattern, with black runners with red shoelaces and a pair of diamond earrings. She had on a light shade of red lip gloss and some dark blue nail polish. Alice was in a dark purple tank top that tied up in the middle at the bottom, a pair of dark blue ripped jeans, some white sneakers, a gold necklace and some diamond dangling earrings and red lipstick and pink nail polish. ''Well? You just gonna stand there? Or are you gonna let us in Dylan?'' She said smiling. ''Ummm, right, sorry.'' I stepped back and let them in. When they were both in I closed the door and said ''I um was about to make breakfast, you guys um want any?'' They both looked at each other and giggled and said ok. I started walking up the stairs and they followed. ''So you both good with waffles for breakfast?'' I asked. ''Yeah'' Alice said. ''Well'' Aurora said ''I love waffles!'' ''Okay, they will be ready in 15 minutes.'' And with that I was in the kitchen which was huge with a big island with granite counter tops, walnut wood cabinets and lots of counter space and stainless steel dishwasher. All the other appliances were stainless steel as well. I opened the fridge and grabbed the blueberries and the lemon juice and I put them on the island. I closed the fridge door and opened the cupboard right next to it and grabbed the sugar. I grabbed a pot and began to follow the recipe for the blueberry compote and I just used pancake mix to make the waffles. After 10 minutes I was down and I grabbed the whipped cream and said its ready. We all ate the waffles and I said ''I'll be back in 20 minutes. I've just got to finish preparing something.'' I went down the hall into the room at the end of the hall and closed the door. I opened the closet door and pulled out a knights costume and a replica medieval sword and began painting them. After 10 minutes I looked over my solder and saw both Alice and Aurora watching me. ''I see you'' they both giggled and came into the room. ''What are you doing?'' Aurora asked. I sighed ''If you have to know, I'm painting my costume for my event tomorrow.'' ''What event Dylan?'' Alice said with a smile. ''My larping event.'' '' Ahhh whats larping ?'' Aurora asked. ''I'ts where a whole group of people get together in costumes and prentend they are someone else and follow a story and you talk to people and there a battles and a bunch of other things.'' I explained. ''I still dont quite get it.'' Aurora said. ''Just come with me tomorrow''. ''Okay!'' she said. And then she said ''So Dylan, Alice was telling me about this diner called called Sally's. I was woundering if we could go tonight? It would be just me and you as Alice has something she has to plan.'' ''Oh yeah... I forgot.. the prom. Shes planning it. Well, okay then, why not we will go there at 7 pm okay?'' I responded. ''Ok'' I said ''now i have to be in my room for about an hour, then we can talk and figure out what were gonna do today and about the tear you told us about. I'm gonna have headphones on so I wont be able to hear you.'' ''okay'' said Aurora. "Can i trust you to not to get in trouble while im busy?'' I asked. "Yep'' she said. ''Okay'' I said. Then with that I went to my room and I put the headphones on and joined the group call and we began finalizing plans for tomorrows event. Meanwhile, Alice and Aurora were in the kitchen talking. ''That was very sneaky Aurora!'' Alice said. ''What do you mean Alice?'' she said. Alice smiled and said ''Oh dont play coy with me. Go to the diner tonight... you basically asked him out on a date!'' ''Yeah, I know, but I dont think he realizes that.'' she said. ''Of course not.'' Alice said. ''I have been trying to let him know how I feel about him since the school year began. Now how about me and you leave here at 4:30 and get you ready for your date not date?'' '' yeah okay'' Aurora said. Then by the time I was done talking with the guys it was 2 pm and we decided to play some world of warcraft and we lost track of time and it was 4:15 by the time we were done playing. I left my room and saw Aurora and Alice geting ready to leave I said ''Where are you two going?'' ''We have to go to my house for something.'' Alice said. ''Okay, so what about the diner?'' I said. ''What about the diner?'' Alice said. ''Well I figured since I skiped lunch we could go to the diner now. And this way we could all go togeather. I'll drive.'' There wasn't much they could say so they sighed and said yes. So we got in my dad's black and red sports car and after 15 minutes we got to the diner. It was themed like a 1980s diner with the neon sign that said ''Sally's''. We went in and there were booths and tables filled with different groups of people. The booths were bright red with white stripes down the middle and the chairs had a white stripe going down the middle with the same bright red colour . The walls were a nice light shade of blue and there were different license plates from all over the world, and from differnt years, along with a bunch of road signs. The tables were red with a bit of silver on the edges. The barstools had a few people sitting down but were mostly empty as always. Most people wanted a table or a booth. We sat down at a booth and looked at the menus. Aurora had no trouble figuring out what to order. She got a strawberry milkshake and a blt sandwich. I ordered a bacon and cheese hamburger with a chocolate milkshake and a basket of french fries for the table. Alice order a grilled cheese sandwich with a chicken noodle soup and a strawberry milkshake. after about ten minutes the food came. We all started talking about movies, books and stuff we like to do. After about a half an hour we decided to order desert. I got a chocolate hot fudge sundae with extra hot fudge with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. There was hot fudge on the ice cream and the whipped cream. Aurora got a strawberry sundae with hot fudge and pieces of fresh cut straberries and whipped cream with a cherry on top. Alice got a piece of strawberry shortcake with vanilla ice cream with extra straberry sauce on it. The sundaes came in the old fashioned sundae glasses. By the time we were done and payed the bill it was 6:10 pm and I said ''I'll drop you off at the school Alice okay?'' She said sure and we got in the car and I dropped Alice off at the school. It was 6:25 and she was right on time. Aurora and I headed back to my place and I said ''Hey Aurora want to watch a movie when we get to my house?'' She said ''Sure why not.'' We got to my house 7 minutes later and we went downstairs. I turned the xbox on and went to prime video and chose the starwars section. I decided on the phantom menace and said ''I'll be back in a few minutes.'' I grabbed a bag of popcorn and put it in the microwave and hit the popcorn button. I had just began to wait when my phone started playing the Jurassic Park song. I pulled it out of my pocket and looked to see who was calling me and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it said Anna. I answered it and said ''Hi! I didn't think you even had my phone number. It's been what... 2 years since we talked? You know, back before I moved here and left the city.'' ''Yeah, so do you still larp?'' she asked. ''Yeah I do. You gonna be at tomorrows event?'' I asked. ''Of course'' she said ''are you?'' I told her I was. ''How about we meet up there and catch up as im in town for the next week or so?'' she said. ''Okay. Sure. How about we meet up at the market place?'' I said. Anna said okay and that she would see me there tomorrow. Then asked me ''Oh, what time are you arriving?'' I told her I would be there at noon. ''See you then'' she said. With that I hung up the phone and the popcorn was done. I grabbed the popcorn and I went downstairs and hit play on the movie. As we watched the movie Aurora, had alot of questions. I said ''It's just a movie. Let's get some sleep. We have to leave early tomorrow as its a 2 hour drive to the event.'' Then Aurora said "Oh, me and Alice had plans. I was gonna hang out at her place and I was gonna help plan the dance and maybe get a new dress.'' ''Okay'' I said. ''I'll drop you off on the way. I wont be home for a week.'' ''Okay'' she said. The next day it was 9 am and I had the car all packed up. Aurora and I got in and I drove the ten minutes to Alice's house and I made sure i saw Aurora go in. Then I turned around and sped off to my event. I got breakfast at McDonald's and took the highway for 2 hours. I drove down a bunch of dirt roads and when I got there I put on the medieval times clothes and then put my armour on and headed to the market place as it was 11:55 and I was meant to meet up with Anna. I got to the market right on time and I looked around for Anna and after a few minutes I saw her. She was a bit smaller than me. She had brown hair and hazel eyes. She was in a red silk dress and had a black piece of leather armour with a black belt which had a sivler buckle. She had a brown leather quiver and a wooden long bow. I went to her and said ''Hi Anna.'' ''Glad to see you here'' she said. ''I'm not the only old friend here. And by the way Dylan....what's with the armour? When did you start playing as a knight? You used to always just wear the medieval clothes and fight.'' ''Yeah, I'm not sure about the armour myself.'' I said. ''By the way, I like the brown hair.'' ''Thanks'' she said. ''But it's only brown for this week. After that I'm gonna dye it blonde. I like it better'' ''Okay'' I said. ''So, any ways, you said your not the only old friend here. What did you mean?'' I asked. ''She's talking about me Dylan'' a voice came from behind me. I turnt around to see Cara. She had dark purple hair at the top and dark pink hair going down were the purple ended. Her hair was going down mid back and she was as tall as me. She had piercing blue eyes and she was in a reddish brown leather outfit, with a green leather chest piece that had a brown leater belt with some siver pieces and a smaller brown leather belt which had a small siver buckle and a small two ring siver chain attached to the belt and she was in a long skirt which had slits. ''Cara is that you?'' I said. '' I hardly recognized you! You have definitely changed.'' ''Yeah its been three years.'' She said. ''Alot can change. By the way, I don't think the armour is your style.'' ''Fine I will get rid of it. Hey Cara, Anna, what clan are you with?'' I asked. ''We're with the ancient ancestors'' answered Cara. ''Sweet! Me too! We should team up in the battles.'' I said. ''Yeah, I'm in'' Anna said. I looked at Cara and said ''Well, want to bring back the old team?'' ''Sure, why not?'' she said. ''It will be like the old times. Let's get to the camp.'' We got there and saw the flag blowing in the wind.

BOOK 1 THE SHADOW LANDS It was a normal Autumm day in a the small town of Shorewood hills. It was a little warmer than most days, but I didn't mind as it was 9 am and I was on my way to Shorewood high. It was the high school and classes started in 10 minutes and I was about 5 minutes away. I got there in time. The high school was two floors. The building had grey paint that was chipping off and some of the windows had cracks in them. The fence that was meant to be around the woods, was falling down. the building was only about 50 years old but it was not in the best condtion. The original building burnt down 52 years ago. No one knew what caused it. People say they heard laughing that sounded human, but wasn't fully human. They say they saw shadows that could move, that looked human, but were pure black mist. It happend on prom night. People say they heard screaming coming from a classroom, but they couldn't reach them as the hallway was on fire. A girl dissapeared that night . She was an 18 year old girl and her name was Aurora. The fire burnt the school down to the ground so they build the new one on the old schools basment, so the legend says. But anyways there wasa Jake and Alice. They were waiting by the bike racks for me. Jake is 18 with black hair and brown eyes. He was in a tshirt that said ''stop monkeying around'' with black runners and a pair of jeans. Alice was in a royal blue chiffon blouse with a blue skirt and a nice pair of white flats. She had long thick wavy blond hair with ocean blue eyes, long nails that had light blue nail polish on them . She was 17 and I was 18 with blonde hair and blue eyes. I was wearing my favorite tshirt that said ''may the force be with with you''. I was a huge Star Wars fan, actually we all were. We had been planing a Star Wars movie marathon for the weekend. I was also in blue shorts with black runners . When I got to the bike racks Alice said "There you are, class is about to start we cant be late."I told her "Yeah I know but I lost track of time playing World of Warcraft" Jake said "cool, did you win? " I said ''of course!'' and Alice rolled her eyes and said "Of course you did! let's go we got sciences and Jake has gym" she grabbed my arm and began to drag me. We got to science and the bell just went. Class was boring as always. We watched a video about how different types of viruses have different dna models. Before class was over, the teacher said we had to choose a partner and build a dna model and make a power point presentation. Me and Alice chose to be partners cause it was easy as she lived just a few blocks away . I hoped it wouldnt be too hard as lately Alice had been acting weird a little bit around me. Oh well, the bell rung and I was off to gym where alice had a free period. By the time school was done I was ready to hang out with my friends. I waited for ten minutes and then Alice and Jake met me at the bike racks and we were heading to Jakes house to watch movies and hang out like we always did on a Wednesday. After 30 minutes of walking we got to Jakes house. It was a 2 story brick house with a dark oak wood door and a small balcony with a small round table with two chairs. They had just painted the bricks on the house a nice white. The front yard had a garden with a bunch of diffent flowers, while the back yard had a tall cheery blossom tree. We went inside and there was a nice light wooden stair case which lead down to the basement or the top floor. We got down to the basement and went down the hall to Jakes room which was a decent size room. It had a nice flat screen tv, an xbox one, two white book selfs with different books and dvds on them. He had a nice maple wood dresser and his bed was a wooden bed painted a soft white. And there right next to the tv, was his new couch, which was gray. We sat down and started wacthing the first star wars movie and when I looked at my phone next, it was 6:30 pm and I would be late for dinner. Mom would kill me if I was late. So I said goodbye and left. I knew I would not make it to my house before dinner if I took the normal way so I took a short cut through the woods. It was dark, but the light of the full moon was shining through some of the branches lighting the way. I began walking and after ten minutes of walking I stopped walking. I felt like I was being watched and suddenly out of nowhere a cold wind that cuts you right to the bone was going. Then I heard laughing all around me. It sounded like they all let out an ear piercing howl and began to come toward me. I ran as fast as I could and 7 minutes later I was out of the woods. I looked back and saw they had stopped at the edge of the woods and then they let out a loud screech and disappeared into the ground. Ten minutes later I was home. I had dinner and went to my room and turned my computer on and began looking up the monsters, but nothing turned up. I wanted to look up Aurora, but without a last name it was hard to find anything. So I went to bed and suddenly I was in a strange land. It was dark and there was no light. There were these big walls that looked like they were made of mist and I saw more of those things from earlier. I was scared and confused, but then I saw her, Aurora, and she came to me and said "Do not worry, they can't see you or hurt you. I asked "where am I?". She had a look like she wasn't sure weather she should say or not, but after a number of seconds pause,she said "you're in the shadow lands. It's were all the darkest things live. I didn't get to fully warn you earlier, and for that I am sorry. I can only leave this world for a short time before I have to return to it ". I asked her why she had to return here though. "Because I was taken here a long time ago and Im trapped here until the wall between the worlds collapses but I dont have much time. Soon the shadows will come to your world fully as they have time and time again. They will come for your friend Alice and now you." " Why me? " I asked. She responded "It is because you can see the shadows. No one has ever been able to see the shadows as clear as you have. So the Shadow King sees you as a danger and a threat to his plan to counquer your world. He will soon need a new queen and he wants your friend Alice. And when the wall between the worlds is weakest , he will turn her into a shadow queen and use her to try and conquer your world. Then I will become like the queens before me. A siren still retaining some of my human body, but I will become a dark creature designed to lure humans to the shadow world to become shadows." " Wait, you mean those creatures were human?" I asked. "Yes, but unfortunately our time is at a end. Try to remember what I told you. I will find a way to see you in your world again. Good bye Dylan. Now go before the shadows come for you." As she gave me a push I stumbled back and woke up in my room. It was 6 am and I tried to write as much down as I could, but it quickly faded and I couldn't rember much anymore. I began to wonder if it was all a dream, but something inside me knew it wasn't a dream. It was real. So I spent the next hour trying to remeber what Aurora had told me. When I looked at the time it was 7:30 am so I went for a quick shower and got ready for school. I put on a pair of dark blue jeans and a long sleeve shirt that had a picture of Ian Malcolm saying ''life will find a way.'' I put on a red sweater and put my black runners on and went downstairs. There was a note saying "Me and your dad had to go on a busines trip and will be back in two weeks. Sent you 250 dollars. Enjoy. love, Mom and Dad" I grabbed the note, crumpled it up and tossed in the bin. It wasn't anything new. I was used to it. They were always traveling for busines. So I made some waffles, grabbed a glass and opend the fridge and grabbed the orange juice and poured me a glass. Cleaned up and it was 8:10 am. I grabbed my bag and ran out the door. I was on my way to school. I got there at at 8:15 am and I sat down on a bench and suddenly my head started to hurt and all the light was gone. There was only darkness and I saw vines wrapped around the school, windows shattererd and pieces missing from them. And walls had been blown in. Outside, the trees and grass were dead and the bark looked scorched. In fact the more I looked around the more I saw destruction everywhere. Houses caved in, cars on fire, and bones of what I think were humans. A dark haze was everywhere and the air smelled of smoke and of rotten corpses. I saw those shadow creatures and what I thought was a girl, but when it got closer I could tell it was not a full human as she had claws and was made of some kind of mist. I realized she could see me. She came right at me and I couldn't move. She looked at me like she was sad about something then she kissed me. Aurora showed up and said ''leave''. She left then Aurora looked at me horrified and said ''I dont know how you got here, but this is what will happen to your world should the shadows win. And now you must be more careful as you have been shadow kissed. Now you are in more danger then ever . Now get out of hear. She pushed me and I woke up. And there was Alice standing over me. The look on her face said she was concerned. ''Where were you?'' she asked. I just looked around for a moment trying to figure out what just happened and give my eyes a moment to adjust to the light. Then after about a minute I looked back at her and she now looked even more confused. ''Well?'' she asked. I said ''What do you mean?'' " Well I've been trying to get your attention for 5 minutes.'' she said. ''Sorry'' I responded. Just then the first bell rang. " Remember, wait for me here after school. We are working on our project at your place. And when we get there, you're gonna tell me what's been going on with you, as its not like you to zone out like that.'' The rest of the school day went by and I tried to focus. But everything felt like a haze and I wondered if it had anything to do with the shadow kiss i got this morning. I would figure it out later I thought, as I tried to concentrate on the class. The bell rang and the day was almost done. I was in my last class which was gym. Today's game was dodge ball. Meanwhile Aurora was walking in the shadow lands and she was scared, as Dylan had been shadow kissed. That meant time was runing out to try and prevent history from repeating itself. And now the Shadow King would try and turn dylan instead of killing him. She was just walking around when she saw a tear bewteen worlds and she figured she had to try and get out of here and help Dylan. And hopefully destroy the Shadow King. She knew time was running out to try, as the storm was growing more powerful by the day. She knew if she did this, the tear would close and this would be it. So she used some of her magic to make the tear a bit bigger. She had to fight it as no one was meant to get out. But after 3 minutes, she was in the real world. She saw the tear close and she knew she was in Shorewood but it looked different then it did when she lived here. But she didn't have time to worry about that. She used her magic to see where Dylan was, and it showed the school. So she began walking there and she kept geting weird looks from people. She didn't understand why and she wondered why every one were in such weird clothes. She got to the building were her magic said Dylan would be and then she looked around, but didn't see any one. While Aurora was waiting outside the school, I was thinking, man I cant wait for class to be over as there was 5 minutes left till the bell rang. So I grabbed my bag put it on and waited for the bell to ring. Then 3 minutes later the bell rang and all the kids started coming out of the school. She looked around for a few minutes to see if she could spot me. I headed to the bike racks to wait for Alice as she was coming over to my house today to work on the project for science. and then after 2 minutes Alice showed up and we were talking about the project and I said ''Want to order a pizza and watch a movie after? My parents are out of town for the next few weeks.'' She said ''Sure''. Suddenly a girl in a dress walked over and she said ''Dylan, I'm so glad I found you. We have to talk.'' Both Dylan and Alice were confused. And then when Alice said ''Dylan, who is she?'' he said ''I dont know''. Then he looked at Aurora and said ''Do I know you?'' '' Yes, it's me Aurora.'' ''Aurora how did you get out? better yet what are you doing here?'' She said ''Is there someplace safer we can talk?'' ''Um yeah we can go to my house.'' She said ''okay lets go'' As we were walking Alice said ''Hold on. Will someone please tell me what's going on here?'' and I said ''When we get to my house I will tell you everything I promise.'' So after 10 minutes of awkward minutes of silence we got to my house. It was two stories tall, the walls were lined with wooden panels which were a nice shade of brown with a patio that had some chairs on it. There was a nice set of brick stairs leading up to the newly painted white door I opened the door, it took a few minutes for Aurora to get in and sit down. Alice then said ''Okay were here, now start talking Dylan. And you'd better hope its good or else.'' So I told her everything that had been happening and about Aurora. ''Okay normally I would say you fucking lost it, but kind of hard not to believe you with Aurora sitting right there.'' We both looked at Aurora who was shocked with what she just heard and she looked at Alice and said ''Why do you talk like that?'' Alice was confused and I figured it out. ''Oh yeah, thats normal now Aurora. I'm sure you will find a lot has changed since you have been in the real world.'' She said I'm sure I will but anyways, as I said earlier we are running out of time. The wall grows weaker every day and I found a tear in the wall and came through. It closed behind me, but now that I got out, he will try harder now more then ever. We have to be careful ok? I came to help you out what ever way I can. Now we have to hope I will have enough power to stop the shadows and close any tears.'' No one spoke for a few minutes, but I broke the silence and said ''Well if you are here to stay Aurora, then you will need to blend in. Cause that dress will make you stand out. As you can tell by me and Alice, that those clothes aren't normal any more. If you are gonna stay in this world, then we're gonna have to get you some new clothes so you look normal and blend in.'' And with this Alice suddenly spoke up and said ''I can help her with that!" I was nervous, as she had that twinkle in her eye that meant she had something planned. ''Aurora can stay with me tonight. My parents are out of town for the next week as they are on vacation. So tomorrow we can come over and we can spend the week here.'' I was unsure, but she said ''You have a guest room and then we can figure stuff out.'' I looked at Aurora and asked ''Is that okay with you?'' She thought for a moment and said ''Sure''. Alice then said ''Great! Let's go! We're gonna have fun tonight! I've never got to help create a whole new person. And when I'm done you will look like a whole new person. And you will have never felt so free and happy before. I promise you that!'' And after ten minutes Alice and Aurora were leaving and Alice said ''See you tomorrow at 10 am okay?'' I said okay and closed the door. I wasnt sure weather I should be scared or relieved that Alice was helping Aurora out. It was 4 pm and I was geting hungry, so I ordered a cheese pizza to be delivered for 5 pm. I went to the game room which was a big open room with wooden floor, and had a gaming computer, a ps 4 and an xbox 1. I also had an oculus rift vr headset. I turned on the tv and the xbox and I decided to play some halo 5. I found myself wondering what Alice and Aurora were up to. ''Well here we are Aurora. This is my place.'' Aurora looked at the house. It was two story house with a big wrap around patio and it had a beautiful flower garden. The house had nice light blue wooden panels and and a small staircase leading to the a nice maple wooden door with a white metal railing to hold onto. They got in the house and Aurora was speechless. When she looked around there was this nice honey oak staircase leading up to the second floor. And then down a hall was a second one leading down stairs and above a crystal chandelier. ''Come on Aurora, my rooms down the hall on the left.'' they entered Alices room. It had a queen bed with a pink blanket and 4 fluffy pillows with white pillow cases and the was a nice light white accent pillow. She had an add on bathroom, which had a shower on one end, then on the other side it had a nice deep soaker tub. Her closet was the size of a small room with lots of different styles and types of clothes hanging in the closet. On both sides of the bed, she had two white shelves filled with different shoes. She had welton vanity set which was a dark white and on it there were 3 makeup bags and two shelves with different colours and brands of nail polish. In the closet on the floor, were more boxes of shoes and a huge mirror on the wall. ''Now first things first Aurora, you need to get out of that dress. You can put this on.'' She handed Aurora a white robe and then said ''After you put it on the work can begin. And when we're finished, you will feel like a whole new you!'' They started out simple with a light pink top with lace sleeves and light pair of jeans. Aurora looked in the huge mirror on the wall and was happy. But she didn't want to stop there and she said to Alice ''Don't be afraid to give me clothes to try on. I never had this stuff when I was alive so I want to try as much as I can ok?'' Then Alice said really loud like thats what she was waiting for, ''Okay then, let the fun begin!'' and with that she gave Aurora a white tube top with some lace on the top with white lace sleeves and a light blue two lair skrit with a nice dark blue high heel. Once again Aurora went to the mirror and smiled. ''I like it.'' she said. ''Good! but we're not finished yet.'' And with that she took the clothes off. Alice asked ''So, nothings of limts right?'' Aurora had to really think about it for a few minutes before sighing and saying ''Yes okay.'' ''Good! Then now it's time to really start experimenting with outfits.'' and gave her a pink crop top with some small holes going down the middle of the shirt ,some necklaces and a pair of jean shorts and tried some blue and white sneakers with it. Aurora looked in the mirror and said ''Im not sure about this outfit.'' ''That's okay.'' Next she tried on a black spaghetti strap crop top with a nice simple cyan skirt with a gold and cyan bracelet with golden x's and cyan triangles pointing into the center of the x's with a cyan gem in the middle and cyan rose earings and black high heel booties with an open heel,and a black leather clutch and some black glasses she could choose to wear with the outfit if she wanted to. they went to the mirror were Aurora squealed and said ''I love this outfit! Thank you Alice!'' Alice then said ''Okay we got the first one and this one down, lets try to find a few more okay?'' Aurora was so happy and excited that she said ''Okay! This is fun and your right, I do feel like a whole new me!'' She took the clothes off and put it with the first outfit she tried on that she liked. Next, she put on a black crop top and a red and black patterned skirt and black shoes with red shoe laces they went to the mirror and yet again she loved this outfit too. ''Okay! Let's find one more okay? Then I got a special piece of clothing I want you to try.'' With that, the clothes were in the pile with the other two outfits. Alice grabbed a long sleeve grey and white striped shirt, a light pink skirt with a small pink bow in the middle, a pair of nice black flats and a gold bracelt. Aurora went to the mirror and was really happy with this outfit. ''Okay'' Alice said. ''I'm gonna grab the special piece.'' Aurora took the outfit off and carefully put it in the pile with the others. Alice went into the closet and two minutes later came out with a short black drees and black lace stockings and a shiny pair of black high heels. Aurora was skeptical, but Alice said ''Just try it on. You might like it.'' So she did and she went to the mirror and walked a small circle to see the drees and she liked it. And with that, she had her outfits chosen. Two hours later they were done. ''I wonder what Dylan will think.'' Auroa said. Alice replied ''Well we will know tomorrow won't we?'' ''Yeah, I hope he likes them. Hey Alice?'' ''Yes Aurora?'' ''What do you think Dylan is doing right now?'' ''No clue'' Alice said. (Meanwhile back at Dylan's house) ''Ding dong'' The door bell rang. I walked to the door and it was my pizza that I had ordered. I payed for it and went back down to the game room which was a huge open room. It had a huge leather couch and I had all the same systems as Jake. I sat down and tried to call Alice but no answer. Oh well, I turned the tv on and hit resume on my movie. Which happened to be my favourite movie which was Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith . After the last of the movie was done, I got a call. It was Jak. He was calling to make sure we were still on for Sunday's event. ''Hell yeah! I said. ''Still same time? Yep, okay talk to you soon. After I was done eating I went to the VR headset, turned it on and began playing my VR star wars game. Next time I looked at the clock it was 10:30 at night. I had played for about 2 hours. So I turned it off, went for a quick shower and went to bed. When I woke up it was 9:30 am. I got up and went down the hall to my music room which had a drum set, an electric guitar, a regular guitar and a small recording studio which I used sometimes. I started playing the drums and got so carried away I didn't realize the time. It was 10 am and I heard the doorbell. It must have been Alice and Aurora. I went upstairs and opened the door. I was speechless when I saw them. Mainly Aurora. She was standing there in a black crop top, red and black skirt with some sort of pattern, with black runners with red shoelaces and a pair of diamond earrings. She had on a light shade of red lip gloss and some dark blue nail polish. Alice was in a dark purple tank top that tied up in the middle at the bottom, a pair of dark blue ripped jeans, some white sneakers, a gold necklace and some diamond dangling earrings and red lipstick and pink nail polish. ''Well? You just gonna stand there? Or are you gonna let us in Dylan?'' She said smiling. ''Ummm, right, sorry.'' I stepped back and let them in. When they were both in I closed the door and said ''I um was about to make breakfast, you guys um want any?'' They both looked at each other and giggled and said ok. I started walking up the stairs and they followed. ''So you both good with waffles for breakfast?'' I asked. ''Yeah'' Alice said. ''Well'' Aurora said ''I love waffles!'' ''Okay, they will be ready in 15 minutes.'' And with that I was in the kitchen which was huge with a big island with granite counter tops, walnut wood cabinets and lots of counter space and stainless steel dishwasher. All the other appliances were stainless steel as well. I opened the fridge and grabbed the blueberries and the lemon juice and I put them on the island. I closed the fridge door and opened the cupboard right next to it and grabbed the sugar. I grabbed a pot and began to follow the recipe for the blueberry compote and I just used pancake mix to make the waffles. After 10 minutes I was down and I grabbed the whipped cream and said its ready. We all ate the waffles and I said ''I'll be back in 20 minutes. I've just got to finish preparing something.'' I went down the hall into the room at the end of the hall and closed the door. I opened the closet door and pulled out a knights costume and a replica medieval sword and began painting them. After 10 minutes I looked over my solder and saw both Alice and Aurora watching me. ''I see you'' they both giggled and came into the room. ''What are you doing?'' Aurora asked. I sighed ''If you have to know, I'm painting my costume for my event tomorrow.'' ''What event Dylan?'' Alice said with a smile. ''My larping event.'' '' Ahhh whats larping ?'' Aurora asked. ''I'ts where a whole group of people get together in costumes and prentend they are someone else and follow a story and you talk to people and there a battles and a bunch of other things.'' I explained. ''I still dont quite get it.'' Aurora said. ''Just come with me tomorrow''. ''Okay!'' she said. And then she said ''So Dylan, Alice was telling me about this diner called called Sally's. I was woundering if we could go tonight? It would be just me and you as Alice has something she has to plan.'' ''Oh yeah... I forgot.. the prom. Shes planning it. Well, okay then, why not we will go there at 7 pm okay?'' I responded. ''Ok'' I said ''now i have to be in my room for about an hour, then we can talk and figure out what were gonna do today and about the tear you told us about. I'm gonna have headphones on so I wont be able to hear you.'' ''okay'' said Aurora. "Can i trust you to not to get in trouble while im busy?'' I asked. "Yep'' she said. ''Okay'' I said. Then with that I went to my room and I put the headphones on and joined the group call and we began finalizing plans for tomorrows event. Meanwhile, Alice and Aurora were in the kitchen talking. ''That was very sneaky Aurora!'' Alice said. ''What do you mean Alice?'' she said. Alice smiled and said ''Oh dont play coy with me. Go to the diner tonight... you basically asked him out on a date!'' ''Yeah, I know, but I dont think he realizes that.'' she said. ''Of course not.'' Alice said. ''I have been trying to let him know how I feel about him since the school year began. Now how about me and you leave here at 4:30 and get you ready for your date not date?'' '' yeah okay'' Aurora said. Then by the time I was done talking with the guys it was 2 pm and we decided to play some world of warcraft and we lost track of time and it was 4:15 by the time we were done playing. I left my room and saw Aurora and Alice geting ready to leave I said ''Where are you two going?'' ''We have to go to my house for something.'' Alice said. ''Okay, so what about the diner?'' I said. ''What about the diner?'' Alice said. ''Well I figured since I skiped lunch we could go to the diner now. And this way we could all go togeather. I'll drive.'' There wasn't much they could say so they sighed and said yes. So we got in my dad's black and red sports car and after 15 minutes we got to the diner. It was themed like a 1980s diner with the neon sign that said ''Sally's''. We went in and there were booths and tables filled with different groups of people. The booths were bright red with white stripes down the middle and the chairs had a white stripe going down the middle with the same bright red colour . The walls were a nice light shade of blue and there were different license plates from all over the world, and from differnt years, along with a bunch of road signs. The tables were red with a bit of silver on the edges. The barstools had a few people sitting down but were mostly empty as always. Most people wanted a table or a booth. We sat down at a booth and looked at the menus. Aurora had no trouble figuring out what to order. She got a strawberry milkshake and a blt sandwich. I ordered a bacon and cheese hamburger with a chocolate milkshake and a basket of french fries for the table. Alice order a grilled cheese sandwich with a chicken noodle soup and a strawberry milkshake. after about ten minutes the food came. We all started talking about movies, books and stuff we like to do. After about a half an hour we decided to order desert. I got a chocolate hot fudge sundae with extra hot fudge with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. There was hot fudge on the ice cream and the whipped cream. Aurora got a strawberry sundae with hot fudge and pieces of fresh cut straberries and whipped cream with a cherry on top. Alice got a piece of strawberry shortcake with vanilla ice cream with extra straberry sauce on it. The sundaes came in the old fashioned sundae glasses. By the time we were done and payed the bill it was 6:10 pm and I said ''I'll drop you off at the school Alice okay?'' She said sure and we got in the car and I dropped Alice off at the school. It was 6:25 and she was right on time. Aurora and I headed back to my place and I said ''Hey Aurora want to watch a movie when we get to my house?'' She said ''Sure why not.'' We got to my house 7 minutes later and we went downstairs. I turned the xbox on and went to prime video and chose the starwars section. I decided on the phantom menace and said ''I'll be back in a few minutes.'' I grabbed a bag of popcorn and put it in the microwave and hit the popcorn button. I had just began to wait when my phone started playing the Jurassic Park song. I pulled it out of my pocket and looked to see who was calling me and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it said Anna. I answered it and said ''Hi! I didn't think you even had my phone number. It's been what... 2 years since we talked? You know, back before I moved here and left the city.'' ''Yeah, so do you still larp?'' she asked. ''Yeah I do. You gonna be at tomorrows event?'' I asked. ''Of course'' she said ''are you?'' I told her I was. ''How about we meet up there and catch up as im in town for the next week or so?'' she said. ''Okay. Sure. How about we meet up at the market place?'' I said. Anna said okay and that she would see me there tomorrow. Then asked me ''Oh, what time are you arriving?'' I told her I would be there at noon. ''See you then'' she said. With that I hung up the phone and the popcorn was done. I grabbed the popcorn and I went downstairs and hit play on the movie. As we watched the movie Aurora, had alot of questions. I said ''It's just a movie. Let's get some sleep. We have to leave early tomorrow as its a 2 hour drive to the event.'' Then Aurora said "Oh, me and Alice had plans. I was gonna hang out at her place and I was gonna help plan the dance and maybe get a new dress.'' ''Okay'' I said. ''I'll drop you off on the way. I wont be home for a week.'' ''Okay'' she said. The next day it was 9 am and I had the car all packed up. Aurora and I got in and I drove the ten minutes to Alice's house and I made sure i saw Aurora go in. Then I turned around and sped off to my event. I got breakfast at McDonald's and took the highway for 2 hours. I drove down a bunch of dirt roads and when I got there I put on the medieval times clothes and then put my armour on and headed to the market place as it was 11:55 and I was meant to meet up with Anna. I got to the market right on time and I looked around for Anna and after a few minutes I saw her. She was a bit smaller than me. She had brown hair and hazel eyes. She was in a red silk dress and had a black piece of leather armour with a black belt which had a sivler buckle. She had a brown leather quiver and a wooden long bow. I went to her and said ''Hi Anna.'' ''Glad to see you here'' she said. ''I'm not the only old friend here. And by the way Dylan....what's with the armour? When did you start playing as a knight? You used to always just wear the medieval clothes and fight.'' ''Yeah, I'm not sure about the armour myself.'' I said. ''By the way, I like the brown hair.'' ''Thanks'' she said. ''But it's only brown for this week. After that I'm gonna dye it blonde. I like it better'' ''Okay'' I said. ''So, any ways, you said your not the only old friend here. What did you mean?'' I asked. ''She's talking about me Dylan'' a voice came from behind me. I turnt around to see Cara. She had dark purple hair at the top and dark pink hair going down were the purple ended. Her hair was going down mid back and she was as tall as me. She had piercing blue eyes and she was in a reddish brown leather outfit, with a green leather chest piece that had a brown leater belt with some siver pieces and a smaller brown leather belt which had a small siver buckle and a small two ring siver chain attached to the belt and she was in a long skirt which had slits. ''Cara is that you?'' I said. '' I hardly recognized you! You have definitely changed.'' ''Yeah its been three years.'' She said. ''Alot can change. By the way, I don't think the armour is your style.'' ''Fine I will get rid of it. Hey Cara, Anna, what clan are you with?'' I asked. ''We're with the ancient ancestors'' answered Cara. ''Sweet! Me too! We should team up in the battles.'' I said. ''Yeah, I'm in'' Anna said. I looked at Cara and said ''Well, want to bring back the old team?'' ''Sure, why not?'' she said. ''It will be like the old times. Let's get to the camp.'' We got there and saw the flag blowing in the wind.
