So I imagine Yakko having PTSD after seeing his parents get killed. Wakko kind of remembers it, but it’s vague, while Dot has no clue what happened. It’s also shown that he struggles with self esteem issues and he uses humor as a coping mechanism. I wouldn’t say his self esteem issues are as bad as Delta’s, but he needs to be reminded that he is funny and valid. He also has the fear of being alone, so he’s super happy to have Delta with him.

Enough with the angsty headcanons, I imagine that these two snuggle together when one of them is having a panic attack or PTSD flashback respectively. They also snuggle just to snuggle. I headcanon Yakko being touch-starved and he also hordes all the blankets in the winter, so this helps him a lot. Not to mention that Delta’s fur is very soft. It’s like they’re made of fleece or faux velvet!
