The choices I made are based around their personalities.

Fire type trainers are very outgoing and Fighting type trainers are hard to take down. I thought Blaziken suited Cuphead well. He’s giving his female Blaziken, Rei, a Pokepuff.

Rock type trainers are down to earth and friendly. I chose Dwebble for Mugman since they’re both cute and Mugman is ver down to earth. Here he is napping with Pebble.

Ice type trainers are often withdrawn and have lots on their minds. For Fluff, I chose Cubchoo. She just loves snuggling with Blueberry.

Dragon type trainers love to be in the spotlight, that’s how I imagine Dice being. So I chose Altaria for him. I also imagine he has a soft spot for fairy types and his favorite is Mega Altaria. Aren’t he and Clowdy a nice duo?

Dark type was the obvious choice for Dev. But unlike other people who may chose Darkrai or Yveltal, I chose Absol. These two are both misunderstood and also very powerful. Here Dev is congratulating Abby after a battle.
