- It was the end of a long day. Gayle drug herself into the bathroom to shower. Afterwards he put his pjs on and brushed his teeth. Gayle then proceeded to drag themselves to their bedroom. Knuckles was already sitting there, absorbed in a book.

Gayle flopped onto the bed in front of her boyfriend. “You good?” Knuckles asked. “Mhm,” Gayle replied tiredly. Knuckles returned to his book after patting his joyfriend on the head. A few seconds later, Gayle sat up and rested his head on Knuckles’s shoulder. They rambled about their interests sleepily for about five minutes before drifting off to sleep.

Once she was asleep, Knuckles looked over at Gayle. Her glasses were falling off slightly. Knuckles gently removed his glasses and set them on the nightstand before kissing their forehead. “Goodnight Gayle,” he whispered. -

So….yeah, I guess you could say I’m a Knuckles simp. I really love how he’s portrayed in the Sonic movie, as he shows quite a few autistic traits. So, it was natural to ship him with Gayle. I imagine Knuckles staying at Gayle’s house when not on Angel Island and vice versa.

Also, they confessed to each other at the same time in the same way. They exchanged love letters addressed to each other at the same time. Overall, they’re really cute together. I really love them.
