Some days, Dill’s dysphoria gets so bad, they can barely dress themselves. It’ll be so bad that they’ll only put their blouse on before dropping to their knees and shaking. Other days, they can’t even bathe themselves.

Luckily, Saltbaker’s stuck by their side for many years. He’ll crouch down and hold Dill’s hands until they calm down. He’ll dress them when they can’t do it on their own. He knows how hard these things are for them. And he accepts that they’re not fully independent.
