I really like the planet, but the star field isn't so good to me. Theres too many flare stars, and they're too bright. Plus theres flare marks all over the place. You should render the flares dead center then move them to the desired position after.
Just being helpful.
Maybe a quick explination on how you did the explosion? I likes.
