Description Before I went to the beach (09) last summer, I had a conversation with one of my online friends (if I recall correctly about the following) about camera techniques and he showed me a picture where the water had a cloud like effect on the surface. I wanted to learn more about it and he said to obtain that kind of effect, one would need to use a slow shutter speed on the camera.

At least around half of my pictures at that beach year were trying this technique of the slow shutter speed. I feel this one was my best attempt. When I talked to my online friend while showing this picture and some others, he told it needed to be slower, and I need to use a tripod (which I didn't have access to that week).

At least I have something to aim for this year! (And if anyone else can give techniques on how to obtain the cloudy effect, let me know so I can try it out!) Like always, enjoy!
