Description

scientific name of organism-hydrothermis malakomorphii

description of it's environment- geyserjellies dwell in the darker corners of the land in the Genesis Cave, specifically within hot springs

size- 0.5 mm

what is it decended from?- echo slime

how does it acquire its food- these chemotrophs gain their energy from inorganic substances located in the waters in which they live

reproduction- year-round the individual cells will periodically clump together at the edges of the hot springs where they reproduce in the same manner as an echo slime, releasing bits of themselves until they die.

adaptations/extra info- These organisms display some sense of early colonial behavior and are surprisingly social. while at room temperature they are more rigid in structure, in their natural habitat they move in a fluid motion, similarly to a sea jelly {hence their name.} They can form more ion pairs to create weak bonds to hold their protein molecules together. They are tougher in structure {yet still elastic} so that hot water cannot reach the vulnerable center of the cell while still allowing it to be motile.

how does it survive winternight?- they are unbothered by winternight, as their geysers are abundantly warm
