Spc Mitchell is a close friend of Operator. Operator personally selects Mitchell to join him with Tier 1 Operator MSG Bell on their mission to retrieve Virologist Randi Randalson. Sometime during the time between the mission and the teams arrival at Paso Robles, Mitchell decides that Operator is unfit to continue leading the team and agrees with Randi that he must be subdued. He convinces the other soldiers to join him in quietly removing Operator, out of the gaze of civilians, so as to keep their business ""In House." Though pushed to lead this mutiny, Mitchell truly loves his friend and is worried about his deteriorating mental state. He wishes to return to San Diego to make sure his husband and daughter are still safe.
