Anon was a lady of the shadows.
She could do just about anything you asked of her for the right price... That price lead her to defend the sunwell, and ultimately cost her life.
She was thought dead with the rest of the fallen at the last stand at Silvermoon, but as each breath became more and more shallow, she was brought before the Death Knight Arthas. With unholy spells he twisted her poor soul and turned her into the corpse she is now to do his every bidding.
