-- more info about the Plagalupis --

The plagalupis is a large wolf-like creature with a plague-doctor looking skull. They are very intelligent. Males  have two rectangles on the side of their neck and the females have a circle on the side of their neck.  They are large quadrupeds that use their enormous and powerful wings as front supporting legs.  They have a diamond shaped chest cavity that hides two retractable arms that they use for hunting and fighting.

Where do they live?
-They live in the ruins of old cities or towns and use the dens to house their young or as shelter. They like to live in the taller structures so they can glide off of them and onto other nearby buildings.  It is the closest thing they have to flying.

How do they hunt/fight?
-They hunt by either diving from high advantage points towards their prey or running at full speed and taking their victim by surprise. When they are close enough to the prey, their chest cavity will open and they will grab the prey with a pair of hidden, retractable arms. They do not pull the prey into the chest cavity but will bite the animal's neck, killing it instantly. It is dangerous to the plagalupis while doing this as when the chest opens it reveals the heart and lungs, making them vulnerable to predators. They will also use their tail as a whip, not only because it is heavy but as the fur on the tail will spike up and become needle sharp. In battle they can spin around and hit their enemy or predators with their spiked tail, leaving severe or fatal wounds.

How do they attack/defend themselves?
-The feathers on their wings are diamond sharp and will slice through anything. The fur on their tail will spike up to become a million needle points.  As with when they hunt and fight, using their tail as a powerful whip will allow them to destroy almost anything. Their skin is thick and tough so that they can withstand attacks, it would take more than a few scratches to take a plagalupis down! If the cavity with their hidden, retractable arms on their chest is harmed, the plagalupis will attempt to run away since this is its most vulnerable spot on the body, along with the eyes and throat.

What is their behaviour?
-Their behaviour can range anywhere from passive to agressive. They are curious creatures and will be attracted to anything shiny, but if it poses as a threat they WILL attack. They have the same behaviour as an agressive "Australian Magpie", they will continually and repeatedly attack until the threat is killed or retreats and goes away.

Mating?
-To attract a mate, the highlights on the plagalupis' body, wings and spikes will glow brighter and get dimmer in a wave-like pattern, the brighter the glow, the more likely they will win over the mate. If there are two plagalupis' after the same mate, they will fight until one is dead and the other, victorious. It is not always a plagalupis with a plagalupis, on rare occasions a plagalupis will mate with another species and create a hybrid. When a plagalupis finds a mate, they will stay together.

What about babies?
The female will lay a single egg in the early summer. The egg will hatch approximately three months later in early  autumn. When they hatch from the eggs, the young plagalupis' are called "Pups". A female plagalupis can have 1-3 pups every two years, so a pair of plagalupis' will cherish the pups and do everythiing in their power to protect them untill they are old enough to leave the den.

Anything else?
- Due to having nub feet and the shape of their wings, they are not very adapt at swimming. They do not mind the rain.
-They can either move around in small groups of four or less, or survive alone. Any more than five plagalupis' in a glaring can create territorial issues.  However, there it can be up to ten plaglupis' in a 2-3 km radius providing they do not cross each other's boundaries.
-They have a barking sound that resonates from the back of their throats like that of velociraptors/indoraptors.

Rules!
1.If you create a plagalupis please give me the credit! You can use my deviantart name (Echoinspace) or my YouTube name (Echo The Neko Neko).
2.The main body colour for the plagalupis can be ANY dark colour. The pattern can be ANY bright colour.
3.The skull is always white and the eyes are always black, there are no exceptions to these rules due to continuity!
4.They must have the diamond-shaped cavity on their chest, this is where the hidden, retractable arms are concealed. The closed diamond shape can be any colour.
5.When their chest opens, THERE IS NO BLOOD. So unless the plagalupis has been injured and is bleeding internally in that area please do not draw a fountain of blood pouring out.
6.Please do not make a design similar to my original plagalupis, Hilda. Hilda is the blue and orange plagalupis in the reference sheet.  All other designs, following the above rules, are acceptable.
