Me with one of the guest speakers at Iacon One, Scott McNeil.For those who don't know, Scott McNeil is a beloved voice actor among the fans. He's hilarous, he's insane, he makes everyone laugh...he's like Jim Carrey on absurd amounts of caffeine. He's also beloved among Transfans for providing the voices of several characters; Rattrap, Dinobot, Waspinator and Silverbolt in Beast Wars and Beast Machines, Jetfire in Transformers: Armada and Transformers: Energon, Strongarm and Omega Supreme in Energon, as well as Snarl and Backstop in Transformers: Cybertron. He's also known for numerous roles in the anime community (among them Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing and Koga from Inu-Yasha).
This is my second time meeting Scott; the first was at a 'con in the Chicago area, where he signed an artbook of mine. He remembered me; didn't remember my name, despite the fact that it's the same as his middle name, but he remembered me. Hot damn, he rocks.

Yeah, and the best out of all of them was probably Armada, in my opinion. Cybertron wasn't to bad for characters and plot though, and they did really well with the new animation style. Energon was just a low point for the trilogy, with some minorly intersting things happening now and then.
Beast Wars and Beast Machines are definitely good series, they were the right mix of funny and serious that can interest you. Beast Wars is also the series I came in on. ^_^

I don't know names, but I always liked that cat transformer. I had the toy and he had like this... spark-maker in his mouth. Like, you pushed a button on the back of his head and sparks shot out his mouth. <3 I love sparks. And hence: Transformers rock.

Hmm...I don't recall any cat-based TFs who had spark gimmicks. At least, not ones I've owned. Then again, I came in during Beast Wars...
But yeah, TFs rock. And yes, I've heard about the movie. Been keeping tabs on it since 2003.

Does it have little if any moving joints? If so, it's probably G1 or G2. Otherwise, it's a recent release that I was never properly aware of.
