"The bonfires dancing, crackling, warming up the area around them. The fires that's what the scared and wounded voices had yelled about that day. The last town she visited had been protected by rows of large bonfires. The giant ever looming had stayed away from the line of natural weaponry. Until the winds had picked up in the dead of night and all the fires faded.

Screaming, yelling and crying was all she heard as she ran for her life with a young child in tow. Somewhere in the mess the youngling had lost site of her. Darting out of town alone a heart heavy with fear guilt she flew through the night until she could run no more. Days later she happened upon a refugee camp and in a daze of shock and terror all she could do and think about were the bonfires. Several days and several nights until the gentle touch of a healer snapped her out of it. Still her fire would rage on against the giant, facing it with bravery."
