This is the Tarjin. It is a crab-frog-grasshopper thing that shoots erosive, glow-in-the-dark acid out of its eye balls. What’s interesting about Tarjins is that they don’t fully develop this ability until adulthood. The males will look after and protect the young. The females will choose who to mate with by judging which males have the healthiest juveniles. This means, however, that when challenging each other, males will go after each other’s offspring.
