RIP myself after accomplished this one...Spent time on this inking pretty DAMN long...T__T argh, I almost forgot but yes it took half of my weekend to finish, probably 3 days at least I guess?...*poke my laziness* But to clarify that it comes with pretty large size 14"x17"...oh well, for me, I consider that was really BIG SIZEEEE..orz
Done for Materials and Techniques for Sequential Art class at school. Drawing interior, exterior, or landscape based on IRL references as well. And since yes avoiding drawing perspective again haha I decided to draw landscape instead. But omg freeking gawwwwdddd!!! so much details to put in *gulp* T___T
...so obsessed with cross-hatching...teee--heee..*smirk*

wow you really impressed me you did a fantastic job with it. not only it looks professional, but it also has this *something* that makes me stare at it for a long time. I guess it's atmosphere, details and composition in each frame. really, I think it shows your current drawing skills perfectly. keep it up ; )
I need to work on such methods too xd

Wow, that is some seriously gorgeous detail work! No kidding about it taking a long time. The streaming sunlight is a great effect, and the reflections in the water look picture-perfect! I bet you'll get more compliments than anything else in the critique.
All this time watching you and I just realized you go to SCAD! Are you a senior or a grad student? I'm a freshman here, myself. :3

I usually avoid the "popular" section on DA, but... IΒ΄m actually quite happy to see something this good made in traditional media in the front page of DA I know inking can be hard, but itΒ΄s also quite fun, and I like your style~~ I wish more good stuff like this would make it to the front page more often :Β΄D

After looking at this more, I just have to say it... I haven't yet bought a print on this site, but if something like this was for sale, I'd pay the price. I really would.

This is probably one of the most amazing ink pieces I have ever seen.
The sheer amount of detail you have achieved here boggles my mind!! I consider myself an amateur ink artist, as it's probably my favorite medium but I'm not very experienced with it... and just thinking of all those hatchmarks and crosshatchings makes me dizzy!
I thoroughly enjoyed the way you handled the sunlight streaming down... you warped the image like those spots of pure rays do, you see light, not through it (if that makes sense) in those forest scenes. That flower, also... the detail! Great form.
What I think I enjoyed the most (if possible to choose) is that last panel... I'm considerably obsessed with faeries and faerie lore, so that clinched this as one of my favorite pieces of all time. The little being popping out of that flower just ties this all together in my mind as a magical scene... a record of places untouched, where beauty still exists in its more natural form...
That may be taking it too far as I've been told I do, but I just can't stop looking at this image!
This clearly took an incredible amount of time... I know how many hours it takes to get crosshatching to look so deep and so crisp. I work with stippling more (because I can control it better), but I bet your hands ache from all this effort!
