Description
*shot myself* Still unfamiliar with acrylic paint, even it is a cool media to use thoughThat's a page from my Comic Painting class. We were asked to use limited palettes of acrylic (isn't 7 colors only? not sure!) to paint comic pages about a guy walking through the wheat field.
T____T OOhhhh...too many school works to catch on...

Mind me asking, limited palette, how so? 0_o Like, 7 different hues/tubes to start off, or you could only mix 7 different colours/tones/whatev? Whatever the case, I think the colours your using create a good atmosphere... sorta nostalgic for me, since I grew up around fields like that. Prairies FTW.

I likes it, i think you did fine with the acrylic!
I <3 acrylic, i never really painted till this year and i enjoy it a lot, compared to prisma color pencils. I only wish my paint pallet was as vast as my prisma color collection!
That's why i like digital painting, the paint is FREE and VAST!

Hey! I remember those. Those were the same assignments that were posted in the hallways of Norris Hall at SCAD. I wish I tried that assignment, but I never took Comic Painting. Anyway, nice use of yellow colors. Cool stuff.

Great job! This looks like you used watercolor instead of acrylics, so you must have a great understanding of painting~
Keep up the good work!

Oh my this is gorgeous, what lovely wheat colours and sky! *_*
Minor question if ya don't mind my asking; what exactly is illustration board?

Ecthelian In reply to Lycorisu [2009-01-18 19:16:43 +0000 UTC]
It's an a thick paper that mostly used for Acrylic or Oil paints, or other media if preferred (but it does absorb water pretty quick compared with watercolor paper). And because it's thick, when it's wet, it won't be bent like other regular paper

I'm studying at Savannah College of Art and Design now (aka, SCAD), and my major is Sequential Art; mainly studying about comics, but sometimes we also focus on conceptual design and storyboarding as well

Ecthelian In reply to KilledRaven [2009-01-18 18:44:59 +0000 UTC]
Absolutely! We're allowed to mix them, as long as we use only these 7 limited colors.
