This next post is from my 2018 Visual Art class, it’s a visual study of Yuumei ’s art style.

I’ve used her works that have, Fantine and Lala, in the artwork as references and influences to aim for her style. In the assignment, I have to study an artist’s artwork but I wanted to keep it different instead of copying. I did thumbnails that have elements from her other works such as the trees, water effects and the characters as the emphasis.

I do have to say that I have a few difficulties in getting the anatomy right, especially with the dog but overall, I did enjoy the process and explored the custom brushes for this artwork. Yuumei’s characters have a wonderful world to explore, and I have yet to see what’s next in their adventure.
