Photo belongs to Juice JunkiesThe SP&S Class E1's were all built in 1938, similar to the Northern Pacific's A3 class, with some minor differences. Only three locomotives were built, numbered 700-702. Now two of them, 701 (as shown above) and 702 were scrapped. The other locomotive, 700, was preserved and used for excursion trains, but it has been out of service since 2012.
