Description
A predator I start a long time ago..I love the character from the first movie.. and also love the movie..!
PS CS3, intuos 3, like 12 hours..

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get the light effect for the helmet target and wrist gauntlet.

Sure!
You make a new layer and with a soft round brush with soft edges and with the "HardLight" option on, you just strike the edge and it gives the effect of light

well, first thing, you have a good line art! I mean, it is good to work with, so no problem with the color process..
In the other hand, you have a back light hitting the predator, and it gives a lot of presence to him, but you still miss everything about him sooo.. you have to put a light in from of him.. maybe not to much, but to bump important things such as the metal parts and or things such as eyes and lights of the armor..
You have to watch for the dramatism of the image.. you can look for aspects such as the character itself, the environment or things like a color or a detail.. and how you can give this "dramatism"?, giving color to it, light to it, or the size, or the position, or backwards! you can make the background a little bit more desaturated.. things like that..
In this case, its the predator, HE mus look awesome, he must shine!, the spectator wants to see his ability to hunt! the technology he is carrying.. the fierce of the character itself!..
SO! you need to put color to some parts, give light to others.. think as an spectator.. give yourself a touch of that beauty..
