*EDIT 6-4-2013* I know you might be wondering why this is appearing in your notifications again, but I 'remastered' this image by fixing some of the major errors of this work and also making some lighting adjustments. I hope you like this version better

*EDIT* I figured out what was bothering me - there was too much negative space in the sky, and Jack's knee was flat! I added some northern lights to fill the space and make the scene colder (and prettier) over all, and I also added a little reflective light to his knee to add depth. Hope you like the additions.

That's very pretty! I really love how you did the lighting, fire, and northern lights, also his clothing. The creases in the hoodie look natural to me. His snowflake breath looks really nice too, even if it's more "flat". I do have to say that the lanterns look a bit off, they seem lower than they should be at that view? I think they'd be fine if we were seeing Jack from a lower angle.

Thank you so much! The flat-looking snow effect was intentional, as lately I've been incorporating 2D elements into my semi-realistic works (can be seen in my latest "Flame Princess" work too). As for the lanterns, I can see why you would see it that way. At the time I was trying to imply a bridge of sorts (you know those big bridges over the water that has lanterns all across the edges?) but I guess I didn't do too well on it. Ah well, I'll do better next time. xD

Haha, that's what I thought when I went to Dubois, PA last week. Every day our car was buried in snow, and I'd say "HA. Jack was here!" and then my sister rolls her eyes and whispers "obseeeessed much?". Haha xD

This my dear, this is pure talent. A beautiful gift. I've seen some very lovely and amazing fanart of Jack, this is defiantly up on that list of works that blew my mind and just had me gap in amazment.
You say something 'bout this picture is bothering you? Well I tell you I see nothing but this beautiful piece of artwork. I will point out though, his body structure, you've capture Jack's character, but his leg seems too far. That's all I can say, but this is truly art.
