The other day, my little brother came to me, pale and with tearful eyes, after having watched an episode of Games of Thrones particularly violent. And he's 16.After that, I thought about the boys and the fact that they watch this series too ... And I began to imagine their reactions, since they're only 10 (what a lot of persons seem to have forgotten ...).

I actually had that reaction after I watched the "Proper Condom Use" episode when I was 6 or 7 or 8ish. With no knowledge about sex, etc. I was confused and in tears and my mother was LIVID when she found out what happened.Β

I was on vacation in New Jersey. We were staying at some relative's house and a couple of older kids were watching reruns and I walked in as it was starting. It took me years to realize what was going on in the first scene, and when I did, I was horrified. (I trust that you know precisely what scene I'm talking about... )

He's already a psycho. He killed his step parents and fed them to his step brother, and when he finally found out it was his step parents all he cared about was the fact that he was part ginger, he shot Token in the arm, got Cuthulu to team up with him, killed Justin Beiber and many other people, tried to get Kyle to literallyΒ suck his balls, laughed at a few of Kenny's deaths, - must I go on?

It is interesting how easily we often forget that the children on the show are, well, children. They act so mature at times, even more so than the adults. Sometimes we have to remember they are meant to be in the ten-year-old age bracket.
The reacts are spot on. From Stan about to throw up, Kyle just looking weird-ed out, Kenny doing that cute hood tightening thing and Cartman looking at the brutality with childlike awe.
Though, I get the feeling that Kenny would get behind all the nudity and other sexy bits in the show, if you know what I mean.
Wonderful job here. One thing I like about your art is how expressive you make your characters. It makes them seem so alive. Β Β

The fact that those children (sometimes) act more mature than most of the adults is precisely why this show is so funny. And, in my opinion, it's also why it is so damn intelligent in many occasions.
Don't get me wrong : this drawing isn't against Games of Thrones at all (I don't watch this series). It was just inspired by the reaction of my little brother after an episode particularly violent and trying (and apparently, that was the case for many persons). I'm sure Kenny could handle the nudity pretty well
