You don't control Hayden's brain or his hands or whatever he tried to do. While you may have said some things, it was his choice to take it in and it was weak of him to do so because what people say about you isn't always going to be true and it was his fault for not knowing that. It was his fault that he didn't think about the people who loved him. It was his fault for making these decisions. It was his fault that you're now suffering with guilt and anxiety because of him. You just said a simple phrase that could mean a lot and it was his choice whether or not to take it in, not yours. Just be thankful he's not dead yet and be thankful for what you have.
