After a moment of privacy for Ryan to vent out, Krow offers to spar with Alex. Despite herΒ training and power, she was defeated by the flying-type morph and his interesting, if a little under handed, fighting style. Ryan who is still drunk noticed the egg Alex has suddenly begin to hatch once the battle was over.
What the egg contained was a Chimchar, but not just some normal one. He has not only fur but also feathers! He was a Chimchar-Torchic Hybrid! At first Alex was a bit taken a back and a little uncomfortable, even wanting to yell at the daycare lady who gave her him, but getting a starter was pretty cool and she can't get upset at the little guy....
After a few stupid, and drunk suggestions, 'foods you like' seemed to fit the bill for names for her newest member of the team. Maybe associating Alex's love for chestnuts might give her more positive feelings towards her new friend.

HERE WE ARE! THE EGG FINALLY HATCHED! Now I just want to point out, I had the idea for this Chimchar before I made Ryan so a monkey and a bird is 100% coincidence. His name was also originally going to be Fuego because I'm crap at names...... So drunk Ryan was the one to suggest it.
