Description
So, after being extremely unproductive for a week, I decided to get off my ass and get on my ass to get to work.School's starting tomorrow. ARGH. Plus I have a MAJOR exam at the end of the year (O levels OTL) and I really can't afford to screw it up.
Not like it's relevant though. Just something I need to ... get stressed over. But let's wait until august or something before I start worrying.
AND OMG DOES ANYONE WATCH SOUTHPARK?!
My sister refuses to watch it so I have no one to talk about it with. urrrgh.

Wow this is gorgeous. o3o I love the colours and the composition.
Critique-wise, I can't think of much to say other than that the eyes seem to be spaced unevenly in the face. It seems like the eye on the right of the picture is much farther away from the nose than the other eye. o3o

yeah, esp when it comes to all the different angles, and how the eyelids tilt this way or that...
But it's what most people learn first when they draw humans...
And apparently alot of people are obsessed with drawing eyes lol.

Yeah... I have problems with eyes. XD But it's not with drawing them but with shading them so they look... clear? o-o Or shiny or however.
A lot of people look at eyes first when they look at pictures. XD Personally for me, when I look at pictures, I look at the face first so the face has to be pretty well-drawn for me to like the picture as a whole.

Yeah, the only hard part about drawing eyes is making sure they're proportionate (which is also freaking hard @_@)

The thing about my drawing style is that the eyes are like... super huge and the noses are super small so XD It's hard to make them proportionate to eachother.
I've always liked the more painter-type style but it's not something I can really replicate myself LOL XD I tried a few times but it's not so much my thing. ;A; *admires people who can pull that off though*
I've seen a lot of people who originally had a more manga-type style and then decided to be all HOMG REALISTIC and it didn't work so well for them :C

I've always wondered how people make big-eyed-small-nosed drawings look proportional 0-0. Most of my friends draw the eyes taking up like 4/5 of the face and the nose is just a dot. (it's kinda fugly but I don't dare to tell them lol XD) The noses I always draw always seem a little twisted. @_@ It's a headache to correct, haha.
ooh, I like that rough style which looks really really good from afar, and how the artist captures all the details with such rough strokes.
hehe, I've also gotta admit I've tried it, and failed not 30 minutes into it. XD
Yeah, some people's styles just don't match realistic. Sometimes, the shading on the face make the face look dirty instead of more 3D.

The dot-nose thing... some people draw it wrong :C It's not that the dot represents the entire nose but rather the tip so... then you have to shade it so a nose actually exists. XD Otherwise it does look a little... wrong.
*nods* I dunno how people do it ;A; Maybe it's their art program. I really need to get SAI, the watercolour brushes on Photoshop Elements are crap.

Custom brushes. :/ Damn them. I can't even use SAI on my main computer because it's a mac ;A; So unfair.
Elements is so annoying. :C I can't really afford programs so I just use elements because it came with my tablet LOL.

Doesn't your tablet come with Corel painter or something? Mine came with Elements and Corel...But corel makes my comp hang @_@ In other words it's kinda totally useless XD
Try OpenCanvas1.1. It's free to download and I think it's much better for painting than elements.
...But it's also much harder to use than SAI DX But I'm not sure if it works on Mac...

Yeah :CC My jaws are like... awkward. XD I just try to make all faces sort of round-ish.
They're hard to use? D: D: OMG I think the same of Windows computers. XD We have one Windows computer in our house, which is pretty much only to play games on, and when I wanted to surf the internet I was like "WHY DON'T MY NORMAL KEYSTROKES WORK ;A: THIS IS RIDICULOUS"
It comes with Corel Painter Essentials as well o3o I use it when my photoshop doesn't work but it really doesn't have nearly as many features as PSE. o3o Maybe we have the same tablet, LOL. Mine's a Bamboo Fun.
I'll try it if it works! o3o Or I could try hooking up my tablet to my PC computer.

Yeah, and for some angles, the shape of the jaw is really ....weird. So I kinda like, do a VERY rough sketch then cover it with lots of hair and hope no one notices XD
whaaaaat D: Windows is so user friendly XD The only Apple thing I know how to use properly is the ipod and iphone @_@ But stuff from apple look reaaalllly sexy. Like the laptop designs etc. DX LOL I used Safari and said the same thing XD like," CTRL T ! CTRLT!! WHY ISN'T ANYTHING HAPPENING?!?!?"
ooo, I think Corel is closer to SAI than Elements. and the pressure sensitivity when you use corel is MUCH better. It's really alot like SAI, just that the tools have different names. In sai,it's called "brsuh", then you toggle the settings to get whatever style you want. In Corel, it's "oil paint palette knife paper texture etc etc". It's more complicated, but the brushes in SAI and Corel produce the same effect. Haha, I starved during lunch in school to get a bamboo fun, but on that day the Intuos tablets were on sale so I just got one XD But it comes with the same elements and corel.
There's also OpenCanvas4, but it has that irritating 30 day trial DX Woah, how many computers do you have?

LOL XD Anti gravity hair XD I always make LOADS of proportion mistakes, and when I'm lazy to correct them, I just put something really bright and flashy and hope the people get distracted XD

hmm, might be the canvas resolution or the size. Sometimes when I work with a huge canvas, My whole comp lags and just turns into stone for like 2 minutes when I save.

Yeah, glitches are super irritating DX Especially when I'm doing the hair and the strokes have to be nice and smooth...And then my tablet suddenly glitches. And I'm like," FFFFF****"

Wow! The effects are absolutely lovely-- I love this image from start to finish. The background is gorgeous without being overpowering, man, you have some great talent! Although I'm really in no position to offer a critique because you well-excel any of my abilities, the one thing I noticed was the skin texture didn't seem as well blended as it maybe should be. Personally, I think some of the shadows and highlights are too harsh. Absolutely lovely all in all!
