Description
Originally I wanted a maelstrom in the middle, but it's odd how few close-up stocks there are of whirlpools/whirlwinds.... Any stock photographers up for the challenge? The bigger, the better.I've worked on and off on this for quite a while - I just never get happy. At some point I just decided to stop. *shrugs*
I give #Manipulators permission to repost this image.
A big thanks to the stock/brushes artists:
tail tail
mermaid hand

water
And, as always, hair brushes from ~Darkresources
and also thanks to the sxc.hu photographers:

Damn, that's hawtness on a stick. The lightning and the colortones really impressed me. A nice change from your previous dark manips (though don't take it the bad way, your other work is magnificent as well. )

Lol thanks I looked back on my gallery, and it surprised me that the 5-6 previous work looked so dark compared to this - I didn't noticed before you said anything
I guess a 2 months abscence from manips brings back fresh ideas
Maybe you'd find this interesting? [link]

Love it, Red. Very underwater-sih. Methinks the bottom left corner could be brightened up just a tad, though.

Heh - that's a huge compliment, especially coming from you As I've said before, I always challenge myself to do something different with each piece - sometimes it turns out well, like this. I'm glad you like - thank you for the fav

You're very welcome
I made a walkthrough on this, where I displayed the stocks in mini-format here: [link]
Thanks again for sharing

This is quite different from the regular pieces. I kinda like this one. I really like the light in particular.

Heh, thanks ^^ It's been almost 2 months since I last made a manip, so I guess that helped on getting fresh ideas.

This is just a stunning piece of artwork. The way the mermaids are positioned so comfortably in the water, the light reflections...it really does recreate what it feels and looks like to be underwater on a cloudy day. And I for one enjoy the fact that they are wearing tops. Mermaids have a fascination with things they find in the ocean, generally. Plus, it adds more character to the story you've created. I love it.

Thank you, sweetie. I especially appreciate that you mention the poses - I think I tried 5-6 tails on both before I found some that seemed natural to the way the upper bodies were positioned.
A prints permission would be great - altough I rarely make prints since my manips are never good enough quality, for some reason :\ Anyhow, thank you so much for the kind words. And good luck with getting close and intimate with a whirlpool
ps: I made a walkthough on this piece - you can find it here - [link] I put *TheArcher777 down as the model, but I'm not really sure if it was her..?

Yep! That's her. You should make prints anyway, because i know that stockers like myself sometimes want to purchase prints of pictures with their stock in it. Sometimes as gifts to the models, it's something to think about.

Hm - I never through about that - it's a nice gesture.
and hey... I just discovered that the quality on this was good enough for the smallest print size (assuming you have me an indirect permission?)

Love the bottom half, not so keen on the top bit. I think something else on the seabed, or whatever the bottom part is could spice it up a little. But I'm a harsh critique when it comes to photomanips, mainly because I suck at them
Its awesome to see you're still around and being artistic
