To quote Douglas Adams, "The Hitchhiker'sGuide to the Galaxy" :
"For thousands more years the mighty ships tore across the empty wastes of space and finally dived screaming on to the first planet they came across--which happened to be the Earth -- where due to a terribble miscalculation of scale the entire battle fleet was accidently swallowed by a small dog"

My one of my grandfathers was working for those "glass works"... ...I saw him one time (this is what they said) and I have few of his works... ...But I never really knew him, I was about 3, I don't remember...
...Nice photo!! ...The BLUE in these glass works is always so beautiful!!...

Oh - this is REALLY hard work in a very hot environment. Where was that ? Murano ?
Just a little try when looking for a detailed shot in the museum glass works ...
And yes. That blue is special, indeed !

...No, he was in a different region, I suppose in Piemonte (my mother was born in Torino) but I cannot be sure... Murano is supposed to be the "top", but there are other places where people still work glass in that way...

Yes - I thought so. But Murano was the only one in Italy that I know
