Won me Best in Show at my Senior Art Exhibition
deviantArt is sometimes a little weird when it comes to playing this, so I apologize in advance if the music is out of sync with the animation. If it is (which will be obvious, I think), I recommend viewing elsewhere, selecting download on the right, or letting the video cycle once over before watching. This is the highest resolution version I have online.

Here's the animation I worked on all fall semester 2011. It's an excerpt from the fourth chapter of my fantasy novel series.
This isn't the ending I had in mind; the original ending was a lot more complicated and definitely longer. With my time limit, though, definitely not feasible. My teacher liked this ending, so I'm fine with it.
There are a million things wrong with it, I know; please don't point them out to me.
I'm much better at animation than I was before, but I just don't have the time to fix the problems right now. Maybe I will later.After Effects Animation

lol I got it because my mother knows how much I love anime, so she buys me a whole bunch of anime games xD
When I first got it, I was scared of it and didn't play it. But then a year or so later I said "this is stupid. Play the damn thing already!" so I did and I fell in love.
Made three characters for it, and am desperately trying to beat it

Whoa, I wasn't expecting a familiar song, that caught me off guard. This was interesting but I wasn't sure what was going on xD! I appreciated the subtle effects in the eyes changing colors...very neat!

It's nice enough, but the walks look stiff and the motion in general seems pretty static to me.
Then again, this was, what, less than half a year? Pretty good for that amount of time, especially with the length of this thing.

To avoid de-synchronization problems I usually put the sound in Adobe Flash to stream so it plays by each frame, I just create an empty label for it and a frame as long as the animation, it is locked to frames so it can't get out of synchronization anymore~ If it's the default way then it starts by an event, it only needs one keyframe to start the music and then it repeats it if you have put it to repeat, the stream locks it to frames so it lasts as much as your frames aka video does, it won't get out of synchronization that way, that's how .swf works~
I am not sure how Adobe After Effects handles Flash (.swf) stuff but I bet it should have such an option to lock music to frames instead of making it appear on the first frame~ Wish you much luck~!! ^^
