You don't apply watercolor over the color pencils do you?
And gouache doesn't blend well does it? so where does this fit in the mix?

Oh my goodness Elena... How do you keep tearing my heart out like this?
I love the way you have developed these two characters. Something tells me that, of all the stories of the Silmarillion, this is the one that touches you the most deeply. They are certainly some of your most deeply beautiful and soulful images.
What really grabs me from this image are both her penetrating eyes, and the wild abandon of her hair. It's interesting that you have the seagulls in the background, which seem to be a recurring metaphor in your drawings for wildness and freedom, flying over the sparkle of the light off of the waves. You capture, once again, the frailty in her humanity, contrasted with the eternity of Aegnor. It's as if he wants to be like her, but cannot.
