OK THIS IS PRETTY OLD and it originally all started with a self-insert character for Wander over Yonder, a show I still adore and wish didnt get canceled. ANYWAY long story short, after playing around with all kinds of ideas for sci-fi adventures, I decided I wanted to redesign my old self-insert fan character into its own original thing, and a fun little side project was born. This was fun to work on for a lot of reasons: It was a chance for me to get out of my comfort zone by diving into science fiction, drawing humanoid characters and a lot of machinery, but also trying out darker colour schemes and getting to draw some action scenes.
This project has come to a halt however since I started working on my gardendragons again and published my first book. Might be that I return to it some day and change up a few things again (Elly's design still reminds me a bit too much of my old self-insert sometimes), but Im still gonna share my old concept art of it for now!

So here is a short bio I wrote over a year ago:
Elliot /Elly Fins
Meet “Elly” Fins, a frog-like alien from an industrial planet living a stressful, lonely life. She quit her job at a coffee shop on the worst possible day when scavengers came to shred her city into pieces. Before she knew it, she crossed paths with a wanted criminal and bounty hunter called Sullivan and turned to the extraordinarily well paid world of crime. Now she’s trying to earn as much money as she can by doing all the dirty work: Stealing, spying, manipulating and delivering for all kinds of shady businesses.
But a frog with no muscles, no experience, no knowledge about her own strengths and an utterly “simple” mind has a lot to learn before calling herself a master thief. And she better make a proper name choice for her new villain-identity any time soon before people start to mock her for her real name…
