Rexlorian had an average childhood besides being a bit of an academic runt of the litter. He's a bit slow up in the cranial region but he tries his best. Really, he didn't end up completing high-school. He's a drop out. Even still, he managed to get a decent retail job and even moved out of his parent's home and was living alone for a couple of years before eventually being let go from the company. In a horrible rut, he desperately tried to find a job but due to his lack of education it was difficult and he ultimately resulted to applying to Rapture only to be turned down for his large stature. It would have ruined the look of the establishment...
Feeling down on his luck and late on rent he would confide in the bartender, sobbing his eyes out, only to get the attention of our favorite whor- i mean citrine lord Azazel who offered him a job working in the garden with Opal after Azrael went out of commission due to an attempted assassination. He would quickly end up falling for the elderly stri and after some hesitation would ask for a relationship. Being taken aback and not having had any experience in this department Opal would need some time to think about her answer. Ultimately though she would end up agreeing to the arrangement.
