Something from last summer. I have series of drawings/scetches about this character...
I found them now, and desided to make something out of them.. I left few pics out. I think I have 3 of hairtstyle only...
Snake and the sword -thing is tattoo that is supposed to be at his back, just below the neck.

I drew these mostly by hand, but Photoshop was greatly involved.

About the character:
At the time I was creating story. It told about "the nine", group of assassins under the king of some faraway land. Everyone of them has been forced to drink Liquid of life upon joining, so that they could serve king and country forever. (Liguid of life is poisonous. Most of those who drank it are dead. And it's highly expencive, only king can affort it anyway, but he can't take the risk. Anyway The Nine doesn't age.)
They all have tattoos as mark of their eternal servitude. Mark differs, but they all have sword in them. Their codenames are presented with the sword.
You guess right, one in picture is "The Snake". Others are Hawk, Bear, Dagger, Kinght, Rose, Crocodile, Needle and Incognito (has only sword in his tattoo. Acts in total secresy, has a duty of cordinating rest of bunch and is in direct contact with the king. Second oldest after the Snake).

Snake is oldest of them. He was current Kings gandfathers slave. Used to fight for entertainment, did some Assassinations, couble murders in Throne room when King invited enemies as a quests in order to enjoy seeing them die. Anyway, old King got very fond of his snake and, had him act as his personal bodyguard. Then He got this brilliant idea to have his slave and servant boy live forever so that his son could get perfect servants too. It was the beginning of "the nine", Alltough it mas more like "the two". (thus snake is roughly 10years older than Ingognito. Snake was 22 and servant boy 12. Oops. Now I slipped out his secret identity.)

This story was never put to paper. I have it only in my head. And I doubt i'll newer write it. It's a habit of mine. I make up plot and think about it and its details for a week or two, and start over when I'm bored of it. It gives work to brains when othervice I would be bored to death.
You can see. As the short backroud explanation isn't quite what you call "short". I have long story in my memory, and about dozen others. I have half of one written up (in finnish), and little hope that I could at least finish it before forgetting whole thing.

*edit* Just one thing.. Story is not so dark that it seems. It tells mostly about complicated relationships, friendship and different society classess. Snake is lowest of low, and rises to very visible position as Kings right hand man. Bunch of different persons, all spending their eternity together. Very fun, that 12 year old-looking boy can tell inside joke which is so old, that man looking to be at his 30es was still infant, when it was created.
