Taken at Castlemaine gaol, Victoria.A little something different from my usual work, hope you like it.
13 second exposure to get the 'ghost' in the shot.

Hey it's not so different from your usual stuff...lotsa contrast, strong image, good composition, what's new?....OK interior but I still think it has your stamp on it! BTW did you ever do the night-time tour of Freemantle prison? It's a must!

Just seeing the name Castlemaine brings back a flood of childhood memories. We used to go down there on the holidays to spend time with family on their farm. I remember my parents always going on about stories about the gaol. *shudders* Anyway, it's good to see you doing something different from your usual. Makes for a nice change and you've done a fantastic job here. This black and white looks so nice. I like black and white photography but only when it's done right, and you my friend have done it more than right. The 13 second exposure seems to have worked perfectly. It's left it grainy, and I'm sure some people wouldn't like that but I say it's the best thing that could have happened to this shot. You can see how old this place is and perhaps you've made it look even older with this photograph. I love the lighting. It looks like something straight out of an old black and white horror movie. There are some really beautiful textures on the walls. Mmmm. Just a wonderful shot really.

The light is brilliant. I don't think this piece would be as effective if it was in colour, black'n'white gives it a great atmosphere
