Weeeheee! Good news, i was recently contacted by the German branch of DigitalPhoto magazine and was asked to do an in-depth tutorial on styles that i use for my pictures
i was so deeply honored guys my second magazine admission how wicked! This is gona be round 5-page in depth tutorial. I was granted the right to give you guys a little preview hope you like it and if you are curious on how it's done - just buy the mag! DigitalPHOTO Photoshop issue 5/2009 is going to be on sale beginning September 18, 2009. I dont support purchasing magazines, the advertising they are paid to put in the magazines make them more than enough money to give away for free and thats a FACT. So I will just find this on torrent somewhere. Thanks.

well making profit is the idea of any business, but if not for these magazines designers wouldnt get such a massive chance of making it big tru offline, so u gotta give them a credit of giving back to community. A lot of work is put into it belive me and magazines are THE BEST clients i had so far, with the best pay as well, when u come across normal businesses they are never ready to pay the FAIR price. Now this is a big difference, this guys have respect for what we do. So may be u shouldnt be so critical

Like I said, they make enough money to from advertisers to cover any expenses 10x's over.

well not really, first of all retail price is different from the original price so all retailers get their cut as well, plus they have to pay for printing, staff, etc... it's not all that massive money, they are stable businesses, but not multi-millon ones, u might as well refuse to use banks and have no bank account then )))) thats the way the world is and there's not much we can do, but to get on with it. And imagine, if most people werent buying magazines but were downloading them online, these guys wouldnt be able to pay to people like me for tutorial commisions. It's a chain of events that affects everyone really. Same like food chain in nature

They can also dip into Online Magazines, and replace the advertisements with clickable ones. I forgot where I read it but some magazine CEO, I believe it was in WIRED mag, he said they can afford to give away the magazines for free. and his ending statment was "we gotta get paid somehow"
its just so these people can live in their big houses and go on vacation whenever they want. Thats all the pricetag is for. These guys..wanna live expensive lives..and we are at cost because of their greed.

well yeah, but we all want big houses and it all turnes into same thing really. The current way the world is. Not much we can do about it. Free market and democracy is basicly the core thing that creates it once again. And its not something we can just change in a click of a finger, so just gotta adaprt. I guess its "get rich or die tryin"
